99% failure

in SC2 it was better to make a very slow approach when you do a sealion. I did, it was successful and my plan was to gain control in whole Europe. Spain joined, Vichy and all its friends conquered. Iraq, Iran, Syria, even Switzerland and Ireland. Everything under German control.

I thought I would have a big MPP advantage. But no - the USSR is still producing more than I can destroy. I was unable to make enough progress (also due to some stupid planning and great diplo success of my opponent). Now the advance stopped, I even lost some ground again and the USA are already back in Iraq and Ireland.

My plan to make it a longer war but a "safer" one was just a safe way for the USSR to get its steamroll going and now it won't stop. I thought I may produce around 1800 - 2000 MPPs with all those countries conquered. Even on industrial tech level 5 it is "only" 1300.

Lesson learned.

It sounds like you had a lot of fun doing all those unusual invasions. It's good you are thinking outside the box. That 1300 income is quite good I think but I know what you mean about the deadly Russian steamroller.

What is SC2? Is that the earlier game before this newer Strategic Command game? I'm very new to this game as you can probably tell from my noobish ways.

It's an ongoing ranking thing, you can join in and drop out whenever. I'll pen you in as an active player.

Don't we need to challenge somebody from one layer up if there is somebody available? I see YohanTM and johan.. available.

Given the feedback I've received from the other tourney game. I've decided to rejoin the tourney, especially now that v1.13 has been released, and I have just finished another game, I have no ongoing games at the moment.

AFAIK, I can't see anything in the rules which doesn't stop me from accepting your offer, Giovanni

'Side-ways' challenging is more of a last resort thing when all valid targets are locked in games. Ex: If johanssb found another game right now, you two would be out of possible challenge target and would be able to challenge each other for a spot.

However, if someone on the step above is free, you have to challenge them in priority.

Okay, well since Giovanni posted first, he gets priority and I'll just take the next available player then.

Well i'm growing impatient, Mika last turn is 10 days old... And we only played a couple of turn the week before that. I have only 3 gamse so I can keep up and now I open most days without a turn to play. I've sent a message to Mika 2 or 3 days ago and have no news.

I don't see any procedure to get out of inactive matches.

Probably have to start a new friendly match in the meantime

room won as allies in our game. Sorry for the delays.
Btw, 2 - 3 turns/week is normal as soon as weather gets better here in Austria. Spending more time outside with friends, golf, tenis and wife/son. Maybe I should have mentioned that before. Sorry if that caused some anger.

So for everyone else... expect about 3 turns/week. Thunderstorms, rain and strong winds may raise this to a much higher level ;)

Giovanni705, PJL1973 you now have two more possible targets for challenges as Room and LLv34Mika having completed their match.

No anger, just impatient to play. 2-3 turns a week is ok. I got worried after the 9 day no turn.

Please target me

Yeah... If free opponent in the step above, then same level is fair game.

That's not an obligation but if you're feeling particularly sportsmanlike, wait a couple of days to give the opportunity for a lower ranked player to challenge you before continuing your climb up the pyramid. Doing 'title defenses' now and then allows equal opportunity for others at increasing their ranking.

I just surrender a tourny game against IrishGuards. A bit dragging match. I conquer NA, Greece and Sicily but could not really hurt the Germans in Europe.

After I lost against an opponent who lost 2 games himself I retire from Tournament. I am not persistent or good enough I think. Good luck to you guys.
