I'd love to see a remake of CWG2, which I played years ago. I realize it's available for use with Dosbox, but it's dated at this point.

The great thing about CWG2 was its simplicity and breadth of coverage - kind of like Panzer Corps for the Civil War.

I've heard Brother versus Brother is good but it doesn't seem as accessible as CWG2.

Bought a sealed GWG2 game in box a few years back, however never played it. Like you, I have been hoping for a late upgrade of the game, or another game along the same line as CWG2.

I picked up several civil war games on Steam from the Hexwar company. Simple, not too realistic, but fun turn-based strategy with a similar "feel" to Civil War Generals 2.
