The problem from my previous report is getting worse, like an infection spreading out...

First the program only refused to transport the Kayes resource to the UK, now (one turn later) it also refuses to transport the resource from New Caledonia to the USA.
And on top of that, the program sends one of the Canadian resources via the Bay of Biscay, while there still is an unused convoy in Faeroes Gap. If I change the route into Faeroes instead, to make room for the Kayes resource for example, the program picks another Canadian resource to be shipped via BoB, AND (completely unrelated, or so it seems) idles the Cyprus resource which should be going to Russia via Syria, and instead sends another Canadian resource all the way around Africa to Russia.

I have puzzled a few hours on this, but now it's enough. The best I can do is accept that the two French resources are not going anywhere and rely on Ronnie's Guide to add production points to the CW and USA during production.

I'm afraid the old convoy-messing bug (or just parts of it) has been reintroduced between 2.7.5 and 2.8.9.4, since I had no problems with the former but after patching to 2.8.9.4 I got this. Too bad I can't roll back to 2.7.5 since all my saves are now 2.8.9.4. Apart from that, I have no desire to redo the last 2 or three turns.

If someone can get the CW and USA to full production in my save, I very much like to know how. But I'm afraid this needs to be looked into, again.

It is possible to edit a save so that it will work with an earlier version. So you could try rolling back your most current game save.

Thanks for the tip. I'd already downloaded 2.7.5 but couldn't get it to work... But it is working now, after editing the last save like you said . And indeed: 2.7.5 has the convoy problems fixed!

Steve: if/when you read this, 2.7.5 has the convoy system working pretty solid, barring a few flaws that can easily be worked around if you're a player (though I don't think any future AI can, if any).
So something you changed between 2.7.5 and 2.8.9.4 reintroduced the mess the AI makes of the allied convoys (at least some of it). I hope sharing this can make it a lot easier for you to zoom in on what changes to the code did reintroduce this super annoying convoy thing.

For those interested, the last flaws in the convoy system that I spotted so far in 2.7.5:
-Some cities/ports refuse to save oil. I have come across a few cities in Canada, that take my input to save an oil as a 'production' action, which ofc will only idle the oil. Easy to work around because you can just select another city, that does accept (about 80% of the cities in Canada).
-The above may also be a problem of the Venezuelan oil, since I have recently seen this only happen with them.
