Sound Pack. Volume 95% to ALL files (except Inf Mov 85%; Background sounds 80%). Fully compatible with JSGME. Unzip in C:/Usuarios/Name/Documents/My Games/The operational art of war IV/sound. I recommend to use a mod enabler software to avoid deleting files.

-cavalry1&2
-explosion (all)
-fire1&2
-foot1&2
-hvyarmor move
-Main Theme (Nude Ascending Staircase by Stick Men. From the album "Deep" (2013)
-navalm5
-Nuke
-railmv1
-Rumble (all)
-SAM
-truck1&2
-teletype
-Music (1850/1914/1929/1938/1951/1975). 17 hours of period music and soundtracks from several pc wargames (Medal of honor, Silent Storm, Red Orchestra 2, etc.).

1850:

Fernando Sor (1778-1839)
Federico Moretti (1769-1839)
George Onslow (1784-1853)
Louis Moreau Gottschalk (1829-1869)

1914: Period music (Military Marches, pop and classical).

If you don´t like the Main Theme, you can choose other tracks included in the "Main Them ALT" folder (just rename the file):

1-Silver White Man by Uriah Heep. Outtake from the album "The magician´s birthday" (1972)
2-Acid Rain by Liquid Tension Experiment. From the album "Liquid Tension Experiment" (1999)
3-Red by King Crimson. From the album "Red" (1974)
4-Second home by the sea by Genesis. From the album "Genesis" (1983)
5-LA Nights by EL&P. From the album "Works" (1977)
6-Tank by EL&P. From the album "Emerson, Lake & Palmer" (1970)
7-Return of the fox by Chris Squire & Alan White. From the single "Run with the fox" (1980)
8-The Brazilian by Genesis. From the album "Invisible touch" (1986)
9-The Barbarian by EL&P. From the album "Emerson, Lake & Palmer" (1970)

Version 1.1a: Added music (13 hours) and alternative Main Theme tracks.

Version 1.2: Added 1850/1914 music. New "multifire hvy" sound.

Version 1.3: Added new sounds for modern war, WW1 and XVIII-XIX century battles. To make it work install the selected one AFTER (or over) "Jafele´s TOAW IV Sound Mod". Each folder has specific files (fire, rumble, truck, retreat etc.) for that period.

Version 1.4: Minor volume fixes; Added one alt main theme track; a few sound files changes.

Version 1.5: Sound File changes.

Version 1.6: Sound files added.

Version 1.7: Main Theme track and nuke sound added.

Muchas gracias!

I also think the inclusion of "Nude Ascending Staircase" will do wonders for the immersion - nothing like some PROGRESSIVE ROCK to get you in the mood for serious wargaming

Although it would be good to know what sounds are changed, what the sources are. And also to name the folder with something less generic than "TOAW IV Sound Mod", like "Jafele TOAW IV sound mod".

I usually play with sound off listening to other music or the radio but I will try this.

I assume the mod is just for a change of volume? Reducing infantry and background sounds?

I changed advance to advance_s, retreat to retreat_s, click to click_s and then copied click_s to errorbuzz after saving errorbuzz to errorbuzz_s. The sounds that were annoying to me are now a thing of the past! If the sound file that you find annoying is not there the game just doesn't play it. No crash. No more weird retreat and advance sounds!

Hello there OP ... a simple question ... when i unzip the file i get 4 folders ... do i have to enable them all to the mod enabler ? what is the purpose of 4 folders ? i cant make the mod to work so far ...

Hi. Sorry for the delay.

No, you only need to enable "Jafele Toaw IV sound mod", it brings the WW2 sounds by default. But if you´re going to play a WW1 scenario you should enable "WW1" (answer yes), "Modern War" (answer yes) for a modern scenario and so on. To reverse the process just disable any of these folders.
