1942 June 23 INVADED Amphibious TF 114 offshore of Damar Katherine, Changsha, Sian are invested. CHANGED OWNERSHIP Overall • No carrier sightings. Sqn Ryujo-1 still seen in action over Katherine. West Coast USA, Alaska, Hawaii • Enemy sub activity near Pearl Harbor. • Enemy ship sighted 8 hexes south of Johnston Island. A TF is formed at PH of 2x old CL + 3x DD to investigate/intercept. TF will head for Palmyra although we have no heading information on the intruder. • Pearl Harbor fortifications are now level 9. The base is maxed out at 8-10-9. • 4x 8-plane B-17 Sqns flew to Pago Pago (light rain) on their way to Australia. 3 damaged, none lost. • All convoys report no contacts.
