I must admit Command has improved alot. Great Steam scenarios you´re providing. Briefing descriptions and overall immersion are getting definitely better. So did the AI. Keep up the good work and don´t take it to personal what I said back then.

Are there already plans for the next expansion?

OK, I will bite on the baited posting.

As you've been a long term antagonist on every viable forum willing to tolerate your soap box drama anti-CMANO crusade, you have gone above and beyond to derail, detract and degrade anything related to CMANO WOTY, including reviews, their associated DLC and the development team. While your words here look promising, your personal crusade to support any negative reviews on Steam with such witty replies regarding the title and relevant refund policies does not support your current narrative, given your last remarks are only a few months old., not to mention your assorted other arguments on every forum.

Just a sample of your pithy replies regarding the series on Steam from the last 2 years. There are so many others that it just became overwhelming to continue with.*(Date & Title):

So, as you can see, there is ample reasons for anyone that's been around this series for more than the last 90 days to believe your intentions are not remotely honorable or believe in the sincerity of your praise. You will also notice the lack of replies to anything you have posted recently based just on your past history, both here and every forum or site that sells, reviews or discusses the game.

While it is indeed entirely possible for one to have a change of heart, I have to openly wonder if your motivation is sincere? My theory is you're hoping to be accepted by the community again, in hopes of attracting a new audience to your videos streams, thereby generating new video revenues only possible with CMANO and their growing chain. Lets face it, with fewer people buying the bugged legacy Harpoon series, your viewing numbers must be declining rapidly and you need a new pair of shoes, so to speak. However, you have kicked this team, the sim and the publisher enough that it would take quite some time before anyone would truly believe you are sincere and credible.

Only time will tell....

June 28: "atrocious game"
July 16: "Good Work!"

Holy epiphany Batman. I would like to understand what changed with Command during that < 3 week period.

Glad you brought this to the attention of players (like me) who don't follow the Steam board.

I suspect nothing earth shattering has changed enough to change his mind. Its all about the lack of a viewer base to support his YouTube efforts. He has never had a good thing to say about the title and has actively encouraged people to get refunds and literally stalked every forum that's ever posted anything CMANO related. If you ever get bored, review the CMANO WOTY and other DLC reviews on Steam. Look at the negative reviews and about 70% of them he has either supported refunds and/or talked trash about the game, developers and it's supporters. Interesting reads indeed. Then, review his Steam profile. The comments from his loyal flock (shrills as he calls CMANO followers) are enlightening as well.

I suspect it might run along the lines of someone who cannot understand or learn something in 15 minutes so is compelled to rail against it.

Easier to condemn than accept the truth.

Standard practice demanded that the accused be imprisoned and secluded during the trial.

Alright, I'll be the one to say it:

We don't know if this is the real Herman. It could easily be a troll attempting to screw with us, since I find it VERY hard to believe that the real Herman just magically changed his ways like that, especially with all his recent activity on Steam reviews of CMANO

Yeah, I guess he could be a really bored Herman Jr. out of school on a summer day with nothing better to do other than make a "prank phone call" to the forum. At least he didn't try to order a dozen pizzas and put it on his Steam gift card from dad. That being said in jest, maybe we should just wait for further explanation from the original poster. HalfLifeExpert makes a good point.

HLE, good point indeed, as was Rory's PM. I just wanted to make sure there is no cloud of confusion regarding the past and strong disdain for him.

Standing by for updates......

And, to confirm the rumor this poster was an imposter or Herman is now dual personality, here's a link to his latest negative threads regarding CMANO:

https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197965614527/recommended/321410/

To all that never use Steam or those that do and enjoy this series, just upvote all the positive reviews and down vote the negatives. Causes the title to elevate more and make him look more foolish indeed. However, just ignore him in the threads you read of his. He has 2 to 3 regulars that provide supporting fire when he loses the validity of his argument. Those two are Vinnie Berretta (LOL) and Reckall. On occasion he gets some other support from gartheastwood and poor old spike. So, be forewarned before engaging.

That is all. Fraud confirmed and the masses enlightened about all things herman

Yeah I was just about to link to that review comment. It proves that OP is a troll impersonating Herman, and at minimum this thread needs to be closed.

Amen to that. I cannot tell you the number of times CMANO has frustrated me. This game takes time and patience.

LOL! I originally found CMANO when I was browsing the internet looking for the latest news on the Harpoon series. I had not seen anything for a while and thought maybe it was up to Harpoon 4+ or something. Anyway, found a reference to CMANO and downloaded it - version 1.0 no less. Tried it out and whoa - NOT Harpoon but much better and more complex.

Played for a while and became somewhat discouraged/overwhelmed by all its features. Ended up putting it aside for a couple of months and then revisited it. It was now version 1.1 (or thereabouts). Seemed smoother and things started to all into place. Really dove in and after a couple of weeks felt very comfortable with it. What really helped was creating some of my own scenarios - that made me start finding out details.

I'd say that there is a good 4-6 month learning curve time to become proficient with the simulation. That involves digging into the available documentation, asking questions on the forum and, for development, getting into the online Lua reference: http://commandlua.github.io/. This is definitely not an application that one can jump into and master in a weekend. Of course, it probably helps in general if one has some sort of military background.

CMANO is a wonderful application/simulation and it is incredibly complex. Having been in software development for 30 years, I fully appreciate the work of the development team. System maintenance, new features, and extremely rapid response to user requests/questions are hallmarks of a team of talented, dedicated people. In my opinion, people who denigrate CMANO really do not understand it.

Amen to that too; I was a troubleshooter and had to do a lot of software development. With as complex as this game is, they have had some really smooth implementations. It has to be a labor of love as much as anything else.
