Here's the situation: The pop up for the contact has long been dismissed, and now I want to find that contact on the map. Is there a better way than just mouse hovering over every single contact until I find it? Seems like it would be nice if the map had some kind of search capability.

None as such at the moment, sorry. An indirect way is to look at the vicinity of the unit that made the initial contact report. If not a lot of time has passed then the contact should still be nearby.

Thanks - and as usual I'm impressed by the dedication of you folks (especially on a Saturday). Can't stress enough how much that adds to the overall enjoyment of this simulation.
