I have been running Windows 7 using boot camp with success. The only issue I had was not being able to connect to the internet from Windows. I upgraded to Mojave last night and now my windows installation is gone. I will post updates as I try to get this running again but I just wanted to warn people.

I feel for you. I have upgraded to Mojave but run Windows through Parallels and that way it was fine.

What's your back up system? You should be able to simply restore the Windows from there surely?

I run time machine. I might try it later but I am on vacation and I am not in the mood to mess with this right now. Maybe I will just break down and buy parallels. it looks like boot camp is not being supported any more. The support pages say they are not being updated

AFAIK you can drill down into Time Machine and restore specific files or folders no issue. If the cost is not a problem I would extol using Parallels as it works brilliantly AND you can access any mac stuff at the same time. I use a superb database to plan stuff while playing the game at the same time.

Parallels is what it is going to be just not right now. I was waiting to see if the upgrade fouled anything up before the PC went to Salvation Army so I can still use that. It isn't just that windows disappeared it is that my USB boot disk is no longer acting as a boot disk. I don't have the patience to mess with it and I really don't have the time.

Note - if you have the Windows 7/10 software to install in Parallels - you might consider trying running VirtualBox from Oracle - I don't think its as optimized as parallels but I think might run WITP AE sufficiently

Ok so I downloaded the trial version of Parallels. Two issues. For some reason my optical mouse quit working in windows. I feel like I accidentally hit some key combination. I have a regular MS mouse so that is a minor issue. The bigger issue is I can't get full screen and I could when I was running bootcamp. I am running the same switches. I have a 27 inch iMac

Virtualbox works just as fine... and free
