I was trying to make a spreadsheet to track the German Pz and wanted to calculate the amount of fuel they receive each turn to help with understanding their potential, as an assistance when planing the defense as the Soviets. So, based on the info from the manual, i came up with this formula, but the numbers are wrong compared to the tests i made, the Pz receive more fuel in the tests.

FuelReceived (in %) = 1 * MPMultiplier * DistanceInHexesMultiplier * MovedModifier * AxisRailModifier

Is the formula ok, and if so, were the coefficients that are used to calculate each of these changed without updating the manual maybe? Do the commanders make rolls for supplies, thus adding a random element? If some of the more experienced players could help, i would be very grateful.

Manual is incorrect and outdated about the supply System. The link in my signature, item 1.5, has the formula as of 1.10.00. The rail modifier has been changed in 1.11.1, so make Sure to Look in the changelog as well.

No, it still doesn't work... Either I'm stupid, or the Pz are just ignoring axis rail supply modifier

It would be helpful to See your spreadsheet and save to give more help petar. From my experience and tests, the rail does work for the Axis side.

Here is the spreadsheet (it is not in Exel but Libreoffice, don't know if thats a problem). As for the save, i just entered the game, cleared 3 hexes and drove pz forward. Ill post the results of the test, but the forum wont accept the message, I'm trying to figure out why

Thanks.

Do you still have the test saves (ideally before and after)?
I have three ideas what the problem can be:
1) You took the position of the Panzer and not of the HQ and they were different, but it is the HQ position that matters.
2) There were fuel stocks in the HQ after you had thrown the combination Panzers/HQ forward.
3) The Panzer divisions lost a share of its TOE (especially AFVs suffer from movement attrition). Extreme example of what I mean:
T1 end after movement: 200 fuel and 50 at hand=25% fuel shown on counter
T2 beginning after logistics phase without extra fuel delivered: 100fuel need and 50 at hand=50% fuel shown on counter->% increase completely without deliveries.

Ill upload the saves, but i checked all of those things: they were in the same hex; fuel dumps were 0; and as for the TOE, i checked fuel need before and after turn and it was like 1 difference. I even reoccupied a city with the Soviets to make sure they weren't drawing supply's from there...

Save files... The test subject was a Pz division in the North, just south of that major river that runs to Riga (forgot the name)

I think I know what the problem in your test is. The rail modifier is based on the on the position of the railhead, not the HQ or unit.
As you did not repair any rail east of X=50 in your test, the condition for the rail modifier (x>50) is not met and no rail modifier is used.
Repair some rail east and you will see the rail modifier taking its toll on Axis supply quite severely.

Ironically, near the border repairing the rail line forward has a negative effect on the supply under some circumstances.

The discussion reminds me I have to highlight that the position of the railhead is taken for the calculations in 1.5 of the library.

Please tell me if this solves the riddle, it is always good to have a critical mind (in this case you) checking one assumptions.
