Does anyone have a definitive list or document, listing the historical Allied float plane squadrons used afloat, and to which ships? Reason being, several ships at start or arrive without squadrons (scen 1, Babes, et al) and I'd like to make changes to my mod.
On a related note: a few years back, someone posted an historical USN document showing all USN & USMC aviation squadrons in 1944 (I think), including USMC groups & wings. I thought I'd either saved or bookmark it but can't find it. Does anyone have it?

I saved this page, but it seems it was already removed from server:

https://www.history.navy.mil/research/histories/naval-aviation-history/location-of-us-naval-aircraft-world-war-ii.html

However it may be somewhere there, under different path.

Anyway, if you would make some further research, I would be interested to check, which squadrons were rearmed into Curtiss SO3C Seamew. There was over 300 planes delivered to USNavy, so they had to be quite common until their retirement.

The only thing, I can help you now, is page about attack on Pearl Harbor:
http://www.ww2pacific.com/aaf41.html

Which suggest, that some ships had their FP Squadrons unloaded on land, during attack.

Inquistor, Deniss - thank you both! Inquistor, I'll keep you in mind should I discover anything on the Seamew. With that many built, I find it curious how extremely low the numbers are, at least for the Babes scenario I've played, that can't even flesh out one whole (land-based) squadron.
