Thank you Mr. Veitikka for this GREAT game. I realy enjoy every minute of gameplay.
After playing some hours i think i am missing some features that would realy help me.


Unit Purchase Screen:
In the unit purchase screen i see a lot of detail information about the units. But its not as detailed as the in game detail information i can see if i press "Return/Enter". In the in game info screen in can see the detailed armor, the weapon penetration, equipment of the unit.
It would be very cool if i can see this information in the purchase screen too.

On board artillery (number of shots):
I have to click "one shot" and the arti ist firing one shot, to get 10 shots, i have to click 10 times. thats not the problem, but i cant see how many rounds were preplanned. I see the number if i zoom out to see the firing lines. Can you show the number close to the "one shot" button, so i dont have to zoom out to see the fireline.

so i can stay at the zoom level and plan 5 ari strikes without zooming.

On board artillery (Ammuntion left):
In the unit detail screen in can see how many rounds each unit has left. If i select a morter (as example) unit with the flag-icon i select two units at once. Now i plan my strike and dont see how many rounds i have left for this two morters. to get this information, i have to click on both units.

It would be nice if i select the unit (click at the flag, this selects the 2 morters) and see the ammunition for both of them. so i can decide how many rounds they should fire.

Found this by myselft. Options,Graphics, turn off "Map Info". And the helicopter Ref-Points will be removed.


If some of this feature are already in the game please correct me.

This has been quite a common suggestion. More detailed stats will probably be added to the purchase screen.

What about if you have multiple mortars/guns selected, and each of them has a different number of rounds to fire?

Ah, i understand. I choose a target area with 4 morters selected, than i press "1 Round" all morters will shot one round. After that i can select one of the morters and press "1 Round" 4 times again. The selected morter will shot 5 rounds, and the other 3 only 1 round.

In this case the solution is perfect, i can see the number of rounds at the morter firelines, if i zoom out.
I am not that kind of micromanagment guy, i wanne fire all my morters with the same amounts of rounds, but this is possible with the current solution.
After some hours of play i begin to like the number of rounds at the morter fireline, i can see very easy which morters fire and which not.

After some hours of play, i think it would be helpful to see detailed ammo information of a selected unit (how many HE rounds left for the tank, how many HE left for a morter).
But it would be more important if i select more than one unit (i call this a group). As i understand the movement concept is to select a group of units with the flag symbol and give orders. If i do this, i have no clue how many ammo is left (same problem with the artillery ammuniation i mentioned above).

Ammuniation per unit in the selected group would be great, but some tank formations have 9 tanks, say "hello scrollbar" in the gui to display 9 rows for the tanks. Another sollution would be to display the sum of all ammo typs if a group is selected. This group has 14 AP, 3 HE, ... and so on, a tooltip can show the exact ammo distribution for all tanks/morters/... .

One problem could be mixed groups, i select one tank, one morter, one infantry. I dont know if this is a technical problem for the framework you use. If not, there can be a row per "unit type" (T-80, LMG, ...) with the ammo sum. The tooltip shows the details, if the player want them.

What do yout think about it?

I think the main issue is that we can have any number of units selected, and a formation can have 24 units, theoretically each of them having different weapons (up to 6) with different ammunition (up to 5). So, how to list all that in the UI?

I dont know if we have to list all the informations for all possible selections and weapon combinations. If we do this, its an ammunition management simulator (the screen shows only ammunition data) and not a tactical wargame. In my opinion we cant find a solution without overload the ui with ammo informations for the use case "User selects all units on the map".

Lets head one step back.

If the user select one unit, the ui shows him the main weapons and an abstract ammo value. 24 tank rounds means 8 HE, 12 AP and 4 SABOT same for artillery. If the user wants a detail view, he can press Enter and the detail screen shows him the information. In my opinion, this is a good solution.

If the user select two units, the ui show him nothing. Every suggestion we made until now is better than "show nothing".
Suggestion: If the user selects two units of the same typ, the game shows the "single selection" screen and show the sum of both units. We can abstract this, if the user selects N units auf the same typ the ui show the single selection with the sum of all ammo per weapon. Yes big ammo numbers for 9 tanks, an average ammo would work too.

Lets look at "User select two different units". This one is tricky. Lets say the user select one APC and one infantry.
The single unit approach want work, to many different weapons.
Suggestion: If i select two different units, the ui show me at the left corner my selection (this is already implemented). If i hover with my mouse over the unit icons a tooltip will show me the unit/formation ammo detail.
In the example one tooltip for the APC and one for the infantry

With the tooltip we dont overload the UI but the user can get the informations, if he wants them.

Last but not least "user select many different units". Lets say 3 APC, 5 Infantry, 3 tanks and 8 morters.
The selection is shown in the left corner (already implemented). I think the selection is already smart and summarizes the units there want be 19 icons displayed (3 APC, 5 inf, 3 tanks, 8 morters). Every icon in the selection get the ammo tooltip.
