Their idiotic whining is making me want to throw something. Is there a script I can edit to make them go away?

It suggests that you've sent US units outside the Pan-American zone, as shown by the ship icons surrounding US territory?

This is laid out on page 13 in the 1939 World at War Strategy Guide, under the heading of US Neutrality.

No, I did not do so. I am getting non-stop bitching and penalties about Hawaii, which is American territory INSIDE that zone. This should not be. I want to shut the isolationist nonsense off (and the penalties off) about Hawaii, or anywhere else INSIDE the zone, as this is annoying and ridiculous.

There should also be an option for turning ALL of the isolationist nonsense off. Wargames are supposed to allow what-if scenarios.

The game is allegedly customizable. Please tell me how to turn the Hawaiian penalties off, please. I really don't want to have to abandon the game so soon after its purchase.

In the Advanced Options you can turn off any Scripts that you don't want on.

But it may be that you've done something to trip those that you don't like, so turning them off might be considered throwing out the baby

Hi Steely Glint,

No problem at all and its implementation is only to address hindsight in that knowing when and where the Japanese will attack can drastically change the results when it comes to not only Multiplayer games but for games against the Axis AI as well.

We have a few different but similarly inspired events to handle Soviet historical units along the German east front which will only be placed there once the USSR is at war as otherwise Soviet players would simply move them out of the way. This just gives the Axis side a chance to destroy these large numbers of Soviet units as they did historically if they've prepared for the war appropriately.

That being said, to turn off the US isolationist effects in game, please navigate to the following screen OPTIONS->ADVANCED->SCRIPTS

From there select the Mobilization#2 event and turn off the two applicable events on page 2, and then the one applicable event on page 4.

Hope this helps,
Hubert

If you have 3 or more land and/or air units on the islands of Hawaii that triggers the isolationists. Same if you have 3 or more naval units within 30 hexes of Midway even if they are within the zone.

This is probably why the isolationist event is triggering. Makes sense. The isolationists see building up in the area as a provocative act.

Thank you, Hubert, the solution you gave me worked perfectly. I started serious play tonight.
