Ok, so I made a fictitious modification to the Fletcher class (and its upgrades) and when I go to the ships page, none of the main gun armour that I added to the class show in any of the ships. Now if I remove the ship class number and retype it then the values are taken from the class (for that particular ship only). But I read on wikipedia that 175 Fletcher class destroyers were built. Now going to each ship and doing the above mentioned process is painstakingly long!

Isn't there an easier way to get all ships of a certain class to take the values (including armament & armour) from those defined in the class page?

Changes you make to the ship classes will not work on an existing running game.
They should transfer to the numbers you have altered by going to the ships and designating the exact class they will belong to.

O.K....If you make changes to a CLASS and have saved the changes....close the editor and they should apply once you re-open the editor..but never on an existing running game.

Ok, it seems I overlooked a tool "Set Ships". Using it I can update the data from the classes to the ships by giving a starting slot number and ending slot number corresponding to the ships' ID numbers in the database and bingo all ships get the updated data from their respective classes.

Yes, I find many changes require shutting down and turning the Editor back on. I assume this triggers the database to recompile the data.
