What, no takers? I guess B-17 bombings wipe out all the supplies the Japs can deliver to Tassafaronga.

What can you expect us to say about strategy for a knife fight - stab him while avoiding getting stabbed?
Sink his carriers and transports without getting your sunk?
Some have tried strategies like ignoring Lunga and just landing their troops at Buna to march on Port Moresby, but the big enchilada for points is Lunga and Tulagi.
This scenario is too short and limited in scope to allow for anything really strategic. Cautious players will hang back a probably wait too long, while aggressive players may charge in and get a bloody nose. The die rolls can make either approach either smart or a disaster.

You will have enough Ground Forces for attack, like 2 weeks before Scenario ends.
Conserve your planes, replacements are scarce.
Forget about active ASW, your ships have too low experience to hit anything.
Conserve your fuel, avoid Full Speed at all cost, and pump out fuel from your damaged Transport Ships.
Build airfield closer to Guadalcanal. It is doable, but will take you a month.
Take control of seas. If you do, you can close Guadalcanal airfield by daily bombardments. Try to sink loaded Transports.
