I am playing as the axis and managed to take Malta. Now Italian supply to north africa is not disrupted. What other benefits are there?

I saw that there was an impact to British National Morale. Are there others?

Well done!!!

The final advantage is that he doesn't spy on your troops anymore. On the highest difficulty setting (with the insane +2 spotting), it is absolutely needed to take out Malta in time, to get the Africa Corps across the sea without the UK fleet spotting and killing them.
