ORIGINAL: HardLuckYetAgain Double stacked, and even worse, triple stacked units in 41 for Soviets is a "NO" "NO". Unless you plan on absolutely holding the ground you are on then you stack. Then you pray that the hex will hold at least once before the hex retreats. I have found it much much better to not stack since each unit requires MP expenditure to attack. But this is just me from what I have learned playing the Soviets now for over a year and half. I can see the tell tell signs of where the attack was coming from with regiments holding certain sections of the battlefield and a large build up of Inf Divisions. So in essence yes this is very possible for the Germans to do even in Sept of 41 since the Germans can easily support operations to the river North East of Ivanovo during this time frame. Could you have prevented such an attack, "shrug" doubt it. Since in my opinion everything you did up north before this turn weighs heavily on how far the Germans can advance. So "No" I don't find it funny, just something that is plausible but can be thwarted with certain actions by the Soviets. quote:
ORIGINAL: PPetar Anyone else finds this funny ? :D Regarding stacking, i stack when i don't want to give ground... And the main problem of stacking is, I think, encirclenments and deep breaktroughs... I had no encirclenments whatsoever in the center, and this was a first deep breaktrough that wasn't preplaned (first one that came as a surprise), so it works ok, i use different tactics at different times and this is a mid turn photo, so the defenses won't look like this EOT. I know that this system needs improvements, but my defense so far was ok at least I don't know... Maybe it's just me... But this kind of moves are just ridiculous IMO... I know they can be done (I have a picture even to prove it :D), but it is too much... Maybe it is because I look at this game in rather abstract terms, which do not always apply to the resulting gameplay...
