All - I believe I am encountering an issue where the visual observation of weapons fire by one side against another is causing a third side to go hostile prematurely. Thanks to Gunner98, templar42 and others for assistance rendered so far. This is occurring in my beta-release scenario "Operation Eagle Guardian", and a save from shortly after this event occurred is attached. The sequence of events has resulted in a Kilo attacking a P-8 in the Med. What I believe is happening is that the player, Side A ("NATO"), is attacking Side B ("Unidentified Forces"), which represents a "little green men" force. This activity is intended. Side C ("Russian Federation") is observing the NATO weapons fire and designating that unit as hostile. Collective responsibility is assigned, so Russia now views all of NATO as hostile. As a result, when the player unsuspectingly brings a NATO aircraft within range of a SAM-equipped Russian unit, the NATO aircraft is attacked. This sequence of events is unintended. My question: should Side C ("Russian Federation") be reacting in this way if it visually observes hostile weapons fire against a non-allied side? Is there a way to mitigate this behavior? For reference, the initial postures (which are meant to remain in place until war start) are: * NATO --> Russia, "Little Green Men": Unfriendly * Russia --> NATO, "Little Green Men": Unfriendly: * "Little Green Men" --> NATO: Hostile * "Little Green Men" --> Russia: Friendly
