1] Divisor of Improved Road Movement: I changed the value to 3 and in the Situation Briefing it shows the value of 3, yet when I move units this movement reduction is not reflected. Any thoughts on what I may have missed?

2A] Mud: I see in map editor that mud hexes may be placed and removed. Are these the only hexes that will be effected by mud regardless of weather? Will they always be mud regardless of weather?

2B] Mud Scaler: Changed this setting as well but haven't been able to figure out what exactly it does. Does it reduce (hide) mud hexes? Effect movement penalty? Can't seem to find an explanation.

3] Supply Radius: I am unable to locate this setting. All the other supply settings are available.

I checked this morning and I have the most recent version of the game. Being I was also having issues with not being able to remove formation objectives in the PO mode, Larry suggested I reboot TOAW. Does reboot mean reinstall, not sure what reboot implies other than restarting computer.

As always, many thanks for any help.

It only affects Motorized units.

No and No.

It is explained in the "What's New". It only applies if the New Mud Rules Advanced Option is selected. It scales mud drying under that rule.

It is set by event.

Hey Bob, it would be wonderful if you could also set it in the editor.

Thanks Curtis.

The scenario I was in apparently didn't allocate enough trucks to motorized units as they did not receive the benefit (Pz units did however). Played around with another scenario and all is well.

Concerning the mud hexes. Am I correct in assuming they are placed by designer to reflect effects of precipitation prior to the start of the scenario and will either increase or decrease in numbers depending on weather once the game is underway?

For the life of me I can not locate a "Whats New" section in the manual. I know I am getting old and blind but ready for bingo...yet.

Thanks again

It's right in the main folder for the game.

Correct.

It is not in the manual. It is it's own Word Document. The manual is not updated with each code update. The What's New.doc should be viewed to see what has been changed/added.

I'm sorry for confusing you. Rebooting TOAW means to shut down TOAW and restart it. The new copy of the exe is loaded into memory and executed by the OS when you do this. It clears up any logic faults the program might get into. Also, I have reason to believe that TOAW IV has a small memory leak and restarting TOAW IV will release all allocated RAM.

I think this is because, in many scenarios, the supply radius can change as the scenario progresses. So if it was an editor and event situation it would involve adding a redundant piece of code. Just a guess.
