Status: offline 		I would like to see the carriers given some kind of bonus for the number of planes they were able to get airborne quickly.Maybe a reduction in pilot fatigue, or something?
Nice books like Conway's give info on the numbers of catapults, and some carriers even had catapults allowing planes to be launched SIDEWAYS from the hanger bays themselves!


Another suggestion?...Please consider a new button to give the commanding player the option to prevent his surface ships from returning home just because they ran into a few smaller barges, patrol boats, or ak's...when the real target was surface ships further ahead.
Maybe the new button would be a sliding bar, or a wheel for "risk factor"..
It would transcend the existing numeric of "commitment" of engagement, (which is generally useless after the first decent engagement).

Status: offline 		Suggestion: when viewing combat report you can click on a button and it will take you there inside the battle as a grunt in an epic first person shooter! Or a fighter pilot in an aviasim! Or a gunner on a destroyer in a naval sim. Oh well, I need one more beer...

B-17D sights TF at 56,31.

Clicking the B-17 takes you to the squadron, clicking the hex co-ords takes you to the specific hex.

What a QoL improvement that would be.

More than that, I need an in-game tracker of naval formation, so that I never lose track of ships when disbanded or temporarily assigned to another TF/area (nor do I lose the TF commander on the way);

I see that's not a new idea, I read it expressed at the beginning of the forum by one of the great forumites of the time, and this before WITP-AE was even launched/issued, still, the idea was not received, as many others

Status: offline 		I would be happy if they would fix the lack of Japanese bombers being able to shoot down an enemy plane and if subs would always give a contact report showing speed and direction of contact as they did historically.

Status: offline 		I think the game should be expanded to allow for the development of the personal history of each pilot....you could then manage things like being thrown in the brig, drinking too much and poor performance reports.

Micro managing pilots to Nth degree. Everyone could speculate if last weeks drinking episode helped that days fighter sweep or not.

Change the game name to Pilots in the Pacific

The side quest is to arrange things so that Catch 22 is generated in combat and ops reports

Status: offline 		My wish is for the game to simply see more beta patches. About the only half way realistic thing that could occur.

I wish the combat report detailed what devices where in play a bit.

Status: offline 		How about the subs being able to target more ships? Depending upon the targets, have each set of tubes be able to target a ship. High valued targets would get more sets of tubes targeted on them.

Have the secondary and tertiary batteries fire on the smaller ships - that is what they were for. The big guns would target the capital ships. Too many times I see the big guns firing at DDs or smaller when the larger capital ships are not fired upon by my capital ships.

Why have Kates try to torpedo DDs and have the Vals target the BBs?

How about an up to date manual with all of the changes included? I know that some forum members tried to do things like that or make wikis with that information.

Nice one. There’s a beaufighter inside Canberra airport near the checkin desks.
Wife’s grandpa flew with 152sqn and earnt a DFC in Burma.
I didn’t know it until doing some google research a few months back, but he and his wingman shared the first Spit VIII victory in Burma 26 Dec 43 when they shot down a Dinah. Apparently within a few months Dinahs became a rare sight

Imagine being ablke to click on an LCU device and see its important game stats the way you can for an airplane or a ship.

Status: offline 		Well, it was -2 F here at 2:06 am. Now it is -5 f below at 7:43 am. I will not give the Celsius scale as it would seem even colder.

Of course, I always like to check this site weather check place to see if we are warmer or colder than that place.

As far as a change, how about when a ship sinks, the next flight doesn't target the ocean where it sank? It is irritating to have 4 bombers wasting their load each time, especially when there are many other ships to destroy.

They might also want to extend the winter zone further into March since that has some of the worst winter weather.
