Is there anyway to change control system what comes to mouse? Current system lead some false movements I have not intented. For example changing scale and then attempt to shoot something leads sometimes annoying problem instead of shooting a target ending to move near it. Really annoying result if you're shooting with tank and instead you end moving next to infantry that assaults it. For me it would be enough if I could define diffrent mousebutton for movement and shooting.

Mayhem, You can't change the mouse buttons BUT you can select your target without accidentally moving your unit. Select the "Set direct fire target" button - 5th down on the right on the menu on the right. Toggle through the targets and pick the "bulls eye" to make that target the current target. Then select "Fire weapons at Target" 5th down on the left side of menu. You can also choose which weapon to fire by selecting the "grenade" before selecting "Fire Weapons at target". Hope this helps, Figmo

I do know the menu buttons. However, I prefer mouse as it lot faster than using it and keyboard same time. After all, one does use lot movement and fire during each game, thus it would be sensible such actions could be done easily. I've played with SSI game engine since Typhoon of Steel and Overrun! and I've really used to use mouse along the years. My only problem and source of some annoyance is that one fires with same motion than one moves. With three buttoned mouse, I could easily define the buttons as I see best to avoid human errors without losing any functionality. Couldn't such feature be included next version of WAW? :)

Oh - I'm sorry - I was only trying to help. Actually, it is a good idea - I've done it many times too - go to select a target and my tank takes off and on the way gets killed. I don't think they would be able to add it to SPWaW at this time - but maybe in the new games. We can hope!! Figmo

I have this problem too. Make sure that the target reticle cursor is over the target before clicking the left button. If you click on the hex while the arrow cursor is displayed, you will issue a movement command.

Sorry if my answer was bit heated, was not my intention. Let's hope it would come , I'm not going to die if it doesn't come, but I'm not so sure about my troops. ;)

I know. It's just as one does it lot by cheer chance one presses at wrong place mouse button. As I play Civ, similar problem is there too. Enough mouse clicks in few hours and by sheer propability few times one presses mouse button in wrong place. :( In Civ there not much do if one moves to wrong place, with SPWAW atleast one could eliminate the mixing movement with shooting.
