Hello friends.

I upload my first scenario to be evaluated. As I do not have previous experience in the edition of essenarios to be published, I bring this to be evaluated by this valuable community.

The scenario takes place on the Colombian-Venezuelan border during the crisis of 2010.

Well, it was a while since the last time I seen a SpecOps type scenario like the classic "Raid in Bismayo", and I have to said that you have probably surpassed it here; bravo.

On the technical side I have literally nothing to point you, the Venezuelans get hostile if they catch you, launch fighters, shoot at you if they catch you in their side of the border, let you be if you cross back fast enough. The target runs when the shooting starts and the scenario ends if you dont catch it quick, also ends if you fúck it and shoot down a Venezuelan plane. The messajes on main target located and destroyed trigger when they are suposed to and the scoring works as intended. In a word: flawless.

Unfortunately such a thing cannot be said for the briefing, I understand that you are no a native english-speaker but neither am I and the erratas and miscontructions still made my eyes bleed. Next time check it with someone fluent or ask here for help.

Here you have a corrected briefing, have in mind that I'm not a native speaker so there'll probably be some erratas remaining:

START OF BRIEFING

Objective:

Eliminate FARC guerrilla leader Iván Márquez, currently hiding in Venezuelan territory.

Available forces:

-Two UAVs available at the Riohacha airport, for reconnaissance support.

-A C-26A Metro for ELINT work stationed at CACOM 3.

-A SR-506 Tracker for AEW work stationed at CACOM 3.

-An attack squad composed of four Super Tucanos stationed at CACOM 3.

-Two squads of special forces carried by UH-60L in CACOM 3.

-A section of two UH-60L for the extraction of troops stationed at the Valledupar airport.

- Four ARPIA III stationed at the airport of Valledupar, to be used as escort of the UH-60L during the insertion and extraction of the heli-transported troops.

-Six Kfir C-10 for CAP tasks stationed at CACOM 1.

Attack plan:

This is an in-and-out mission, with main objective being the elimination of the guerrilla commander Iván Márquez, currently hiding in one of the three camps (Sorotaima, El Refugio, Bolivariano) located in Venezuelan territory in the vicinity of the following coordinates:

10 ° 40' N 72 ° 30'W

Before starting the attack, you must employ the reconnaissance elements to positively identify the target and locate a point of insertion for the helicopter force.

Due to the political and military tension between the two nations since 2008, the Venezuelan armed forces are constantly in a state of alert, for that reason a premature intervention on their part must be avoided at all costs, since they could jeopardize the development of the operation. For this motive, the aerial elements of the mission must avoid being detected by the Venezuelan early warning systems before the assigned objectives are met, since once inside the territory of the neighboring country there will be no support available. To accomplish this, make use of the terrain and low flight profiles.

Avoid under any circumstances attacking the Venezuelan armed forces within its territory.

END OF BRIEFING

Once again, congratulations, this scenario of yours really transmits the feeling of tension and uncertainity of a covert raid wich is not often seen.

Don't forget submit it to the community pack after you polish the briefing, it very much deserves it.

Saludos @Ancalagon451

Gracias por la observación. Efectivamente pasé el brief por el google traductor. Para la próxima te consulto pues redactar en inglés no es mi fuerte.
Tengo otros dos escenarios, agradecería tu observación. Están disponibles en punta de lanza.

OK, I've just played "Tomahawks over Caracas", very interesting and very hard, I liked it very very much.

Issues found:

- Antimperialista dispersal base cannot take Su-30s due to being equipped only with medium aircraft facilities, Flankers are large aircrafts.

- At Joseantonio AB and El Sombrero AB, there are Indonesian Flankers along with the correct Venezuelan ones. The indonesian variant is not compatible with Alamo missiles.

- There are no Python reloads for the F-16 anywhere but in their main base at Palo Negro AB, so they cannot be dispersed. Not sure if this one is intentional or not.

- Missile strike it's over in a little less than four hours and then there is nothing else to do other than try to shoot down some american planes (and the escorting F-22 make this a fool's errand). So, if there isn't supposed to be a follow-on Strike (Carrier Group still carries missiles, but it is on a Sea Control mission which does not target land facilities) You should cut the scenario duration in half.

- Currently there is no score system and it is very hard in a scenario of this type (where you ARE gonna suffer significant hits) gauge by yourself if the received damage can be considered within acceptable margins, an so it's something akin to a victory, or it isn't.

For this type of scenario, setting an initial victory points for the player, and making negative scoring events when targes are destroyed is the best way. If you do not want set events for everything, just one for lost aircraft and other for some critical facilities will be enough.

- The satellite you have put has no air detection capability, and so it's useless as a missile early warning. You need to put one with the "Air Search" trait in at least one of it's sensors.

- You need to up a notch the difficulty bar, and put some test in the scenario description, a summary of the presidential crisis and some "point of divergence" where the narrative diverges from the historical and causes the scenario situation will be enough.

- Finally if you want to present the scenario to non hispanic-only community (like this one), you need to translate the Briefing. Machine translation is not good enough, at a minimum the translator output must be checked by a fluent person. I can make it myself if you know no one fluent, but I'm often short of time so it can take a while.

Other than that, great scenario, extremely well put together and in an unusual setup, we have a truckload of scenarios in which you control a CSG and have to make a big tomahawk strike so it's a nice reversion having to survive the big tomahawk strike.

That's all, at some time of this week will check the last scenario you pointed to me, and thank you for your work.

To set the mood for this mission (also for those who do not know whats going on in a covered Specops in the South American jungle)
should read ... Tom Clancy: Clear and Present Danger

Fortunately the Colombian government does not backstab their guys in the field like the CIA did here

Thanks for the tests.

The scenario is pretty crude, because basically I was interested in the gameplay, and then go polishing details.

I have already corrected the observations you made, but I will need your help with translations, to get a new evaluation version in MATRIX and in STEAM.

And again, thank you for your time.

OK, will machine translate the briefing and polish it. It'll take a few days, I'm short of time this week.

You still need to write something for the scenario description. Post it here and I'll also translate it.

Here you have the briefing translation, it was shorter than I thought.

Saturday, February 23, 2019. 02:00 hours HLV (Venezuelan Local Time)

Ministry of defense.

CEOFAN

We have detected emissions from an E-3 airborne early warning radar north of our territory. This contact, together with intelligence reports from the allied governments of Russia, China and Cuba, confirms that an attack is being carried out by USA forces against our country. For this reason, all the Armed Forces available for the country's defense are declared in the maximum state of alert.

Take the following defensive actions:

1- Identify the direction and nature of the attack.

2- Disperse aviation assets from its main bases to secondary and dispersal ones.

3- Deploy ships in port and integrate them into the defensive system.

4- Use all the defensive resources of the Air Force, Navy and Operational Command of Comprehensive Aerospace Defense, to mitigate as much as possible the damages derived from the attack.

5- Remember that our greatest defensive advantage is the high mobility of our assets and its dispersion.

"Take the following defensive instructions: "

probably better as:

Fixed, if you have anymore suggestions for either translation, feel free to share them.

I'm fluent but not a native speaker, and sometimes I miss details like that one.
