I am dumping lots of fuel and supply into Port Moresby and Darwin. Will soon get Cebu Base Force to Port Moresby and one of the 8th AUS Div brigades is on it's way to PM too. 2nd one have to wait to accumulate needed 350+ Political Points. I just cannot leave those diggers to become POWs.

Funny thing about CO of 8th AUS Div, anecdote: "He is perfectly balanced officer, he has chip on his both shoulders".

Plus soon will have ARD in Darwin, next on shopping list is AR...AS I already have there.

This is save from Jan 2 1942, in case someone wants to fiddle with it. Enjoy!

Caveat! It is for slot 7, so if you have save in that slot, you need to renumber this save.

What is your preference in sending a/c from US to AU?

Send them long way from EC to CT than to AU, or from WC to NZ through sub infested waters?

You thoughts on the two HQ (AHQIndia and India Command) stationed in Dielhi, do you leave them
there or send them south?

You thoughts on the two HQ (AHQIndia and India Command) stationed in Dielhi, do you leave them
there or send them south?

Just sent them both to Chittagong, planning to move them to Rangoon when I am sure place holds.

Early game save is here:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/eq56wm9rb61y4ia/wpae006.pws?dl=0

Slots 7 and 8 saves are rolling saves that will be replaced by newer ones after couple of days, so grab them when you can.

I leave the recent saves (links in previous posts) until weekend. Then I replace them with later date saves, depending how far I get to play.

Jan 8-9 1942, full combat report in attachment.

Lost tankers in Palembang and Soerabaja. Might be time to evacuate rest, if KB gives me time for that. I also have heavy Surface force in Soerabaja (including BB PoW and BC Repulse, those I need to get out ASAP.

The Chinese will fight ok if they get some supply and a good leader. One of the things that is counter-intuitive is that you do not want too many new squads coming into the Chinese units just before a battle. The new troops will lower the overall morale and experience level of the unit and might make it less able to fight! Units well back of the fighting and near some supply can take some "replacements" and hopefully have time to train up some before they fight.

Also, get the Chinese artillery and A/T guns to the most critical hexes which already have infantry and have at least 3X terrain.

Seems that AI has selected script that is quite aggressive in China...and uses 3-4 div plus support...Chinese just don't have massed combat power to resist right now.

The AI will send troops if your Chinese are in the same or adjacent hex to the enemy. As I understand it, once you can get separation of at least one hex with no troops in it, the AI will not pursue the Chinese but may try to carry out a scripted assault on a base on its target list.

Seems those were mostly scripted assaults, since IJ AI came after my bases.
