Has anybody tried Lgeneral, the Free remake of panzer general on which is the ancestor of Close Combat? What features did you like?

The earliest ancestor is Daisenryaku.

Daisenryaku

Daisenryaku, on which Panzer General was based, was released in 1985, i.e. prior to Close Combat. In the Wikipedia article on Panzer General, it states that Daisenryaku was the forerunner of Panzer General.

Sources please. Panzer General is older than Close Combat games, 1994. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panzer_General

Based is as ...........nothing, no computer game, no based.

To say how the Panzer General is the ancestor from the CC games is as say............."I have not played too much the CC games". I do not see any relation between them. There was nothing from a turns game in the CC1.

Woops, my mistake!

It is Panzer Corps (and Panzer Corps II) that is the descendent of Panzer General, not Close Combat (which is the heir to Squad Leader.)

Thanks for alerting me.

Can be but I do not like these comparations because the CC1 added a lot of new features in the computer games. For me, there is not ancestor if it was not created by the same people or company. The evolution from CC games is set fully by the CC games published.

Nice video. To carry on this ancestors theme, which game is the precursor of the "Command" series?
