I know Eric and the guys are working hard on the sequel for this game. Though this thread was started in August 2016. If you are working on this game is it not time to actually announce the game with some info, pictures, and so on?

I have seen some wonderful screenshots of this game. Unfortunately, they are too large to fit within the margins of this post.

Maybe he means the Distant Worlds 2 Elite Dangerous screenshots that come up with a Google search. I'd post one but I can't do links yet.

Just having a pretty chill long game of modded DW playing extended ai, having not played DW for a while (i've played since day 1 pretty much)
In todays age of ultrawide 100hz, some software updates to windows 10 etc, DW plays like a champ.
Approaching end game research and the ai is starting to catch up, combated its resonance tech with damage control bots and torpedos, im rolling around only going to war with mutual defense partners, hoping they dont mess up and muddy the political spectrum. Most settings on manual with only suggestions for targets, no story line etc for best immersion.

I love this game please matrix do your best and dont give up, there is massive room for new ideas, dont skimp on features i believe you wont because the body of evidence is depth in DW was immense, as long as you dont feature creep with some 3d engine or something, just make strides with improvements across the board there is no reason why DW 2 wont be a huge success.

Ok, didn't want to resort to this, but you guys (Erick and DW2 Dev team) give me no choice, starting today im gonna blow up to oblivion one Atuuk planet every day until you give us something cool like a screenshot, concept art or something to feed the hype. Consider this the first and last warning, all those furry and undeveloped Atuuk lives are in your hands.

Oh I wasn't drunk. I just assumed Graymane was making a Fermat's Last Theorem joke. Fermat wrote about an unsolved mathematical question (a^x + b^x=c^x for x>2) and claimed he had it figured out (spoiler alert: He didn't) but never wrote it down. His excuse was that he didn't have room in the book margin he was writing in. This led to a centuries long wait where people were desperate to find the answer. Graymane is teasing us with math humor. :D

I have a truly marvelous proof, which this margin is too narrow to contain.

In my mod Research Unleashed, 'Distant Worlds 2' is a very late game technology, which brings great happiness to the people of your empire. Unfortunately, you usually would never get far enough to actually develop it.

A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day.
A day may come when we lose all hope and stop asking for updates about DW2, but it is not this day.

This is the cause of all the delays. They have been waiting for this photo so they can incorporate it into the game.
