Hi everyone, I'm playing Axis in a 1941-45 campaign game, I am on turn 4 and I've been air interdicted twice by the Soviets on 2 consecutive moves.

The manual says:

"Axis AI will not launch interdiction attacks from 5/43, Soviet AI before 11/41"

Which doesn't seem to be true. Anyone has any idea how come this interdiction is happening? Any obscure rule I didn't see maybe?

The game is played on the latest patch version.

Thank you in advance for any cue.

Read it again Joel, you're not playing the AI, you're playing a person who wants to interdict you. At least that's how I understand it....

you may be right Matt.

It's just that reading the manual, I always understood that when talking about the AI in air mission, it's always the air mission AI.

The buttons for automatic bombing of airbases and the one for automatic recon mention "Activate AI to fly these missions"

And the paragraph about interdiction starts with:

"Air interdiction is conducted automatically by the computer"

But yeah, might be that AI in this case is about when the AI is controlling a side.

It only says "Axis AI" in the entire manual maybe 3 times and each time it is referring to when the AI is controlling that side. Note also it says at the start of that paragraph that it's controlled by the "computer".

Seems that's it, since I just had some.

In that case, it's really unfair for the poor AI who would sorely need that little helping hand from heaven much more than a human!

I've always assumed the dates chosen for this to happen was based on historical events. Playing as a human puts all historical events out the window.

Historical events out the window indeed, in this game we're playing Stalin must have been executed by conspirators in some dark back-street behind the Kremlin, else the running away Marshall in charge of Stavka would already have been executed and been put on display on Red Square! ;-)

Haha! All part of the master plan my friend. Stalin is alive and well and relaxing in the Kremlin enjoying margaritas confident that he's not going anywhere.
