How is unit statistics calculated from those of the ground elements. Separate figures are given for the fatigue of ground elements in an infantry division, like its artillery or support squads. How is this aggregated to the statistics of the whole unit. I can see it is not a simple average. is it weighted by the number of those ground elements or by their manpower or something else?

Weighted by number of elements (includes ready and damaged).

So to calculate the morale of a merged division from regiments using the proposed data exports from v1.12 we would use the following formula?

{Sum for each regiment of [Morale * %ToE * Vlookup(Current OB Class, Scenario B data, #Elements)]} / {Sum for each regiment of [%ToE * Vlookup(Current OB Class, Scenario B data, #Elements)]}

Merging units is a different process.

Morale (unit stat) is merged weighted on number of men.
Experience and fatigue (element slot stat) is merged weighted on number of elements (on a per slot basis).

unit A: morale 50
10 rifle squads with 10 men each: experience 50
1 tank with 5 men: experience 75

men: 105
average experience: (50*10+75*1)/11 = 53

unit B: morale 40
5 rifle squads with 10 men each: experience 40
5 tanks with 5 men each: experience 40

men: 75
average experience: 40

unit merged from A & B: morale (50*105+40*75)/180 = 46
15 rifle squads with 10 men each: experience (50*10+40*5)/15 = 47
6 tanks with 5 men each: experience (75*1+40*5)/6 = 46

men: 180
average experience: (47*15+46*6)/21 = 47

average experience calculated from average experience weighted by number of men: (53*105+40*75)/180 = 48 - off by 1 (in this case)

It won't be far off, but it won't be exactly the same (due to rounding up process in each step).
