Sorry, I do appreciate the hard work you are putting in to get it out. I am just not patient...

I think David Heath mentioned somwhere it should be out in the first week of July. Typical - the week I am going off to the country for some camping, the game I have waited 5 years for is released, I wanna be here for the party :-)

Cheers Chris

Hi Guys

The game should be shipping from our new store in about 3 weeks and about 4 - 5 weeks in the stores. Our UK partner Just Play should have the game available 5-6 weeks. Sorry for the delays but we want this perfect. We will be having our Kinkos manual available for purchase for those who want to early next week.

Thanks for the update. I can wait for a quality game, and this looks to be really good. Thanks again.

For those who are interested in this part of the Aussie outback:

Chris it is too early for orchids and too cold for goats/pigs. What is your interest at this time of year?

David Heath, I have tried to order the the KP manual from Kinko's (I'm in milwaukee, WI), but they don't seem to know about it. I got a link to Kinko's online ordering but the manual doesn't show up there yet. No availible yet?

Do you have solid information on that, FJ? Or are you just speculating? On June 24, David Heath said the release was "about three weeks" away and a couple of days ago he said "maybe a day or two off but nothing serious". Depending on how literal a person wants to be, that implies release next week. If they are actually shooting for the last week in July, as you say, then we are still three weeks away and there has been essentially no progress over the past two weeks.

Several websites have said that the 28th will be the ship date

This also appears to be the date for EYSA and TOS:WS
it would make sense for matrix to bundle all those together and ship them on the same day

So im going with the 28th for now

Why does that make sense? Seems like it would just multiply the problems associated with trying to get a game out the door. I'd think it would be easier if the releases were spaced out a bit. Certainly, it wasn't a rousing success the last time Matix tried to release three games at once. Of course, it beats a year+ without any releases.

They've also implied that the game would be available direct from Matrix a week or so ahead of other sites.

Releasing multiple products on the same day makes logical sense to me

But im not worried...it will come sooner...or later....I have plenty to occupy me until such time

Hi Guys

First like I said before and will say it again. We will not release a game until we feel it is ready.... no debate. The last three weeks were not wasted as suggested but use to do some extra testing and AI adjustment. Why did we do that..... simple.

Since we were late in getting the gold master out we lost our spot in the production que at our printers. So we took that time and used it to catch a few minor bugs and correct them.

We also do print more then one product together so we can get some better prices on the production. Wargames sell so few copies than other games that if the developers are going to make enough money to make another games we must save were we can. Also retail really wants more than one title at a time from the small guys like Matrix Games.

So you can expect not two but three games availalbe on the week of July 28th we should start taking preorders at the end of next week or possible sooner. Our preorders will ship in most cases the week of July 21 (NOT set in stone but a safe bet) and the retail stores should have them in the stores the first week of August.

I hope that makes it as clear as I can and I again want to thank everyone for there support. I am VERY sure you are going to enjoy SSG new game.

David Heath

Hey Joe,
Ask for all three. If you ask for one you probably only get that one. Ask for three you may get two or three :D , greed is good!!!
Being this close to release is alot easier to take now, three good games and hot weather here in Philly? Crank up the AC and game, doesn't get any better than that.

Makin Money is the idea of it all, make alot of money, make better games, make more money, make even better games and so on..
Can't wait for the next 2-3 weeks.

I'm trying to wait for the Matrix store to come back up so I can pre-order directly. I just can't stand the thought of having to come to these forums and see everyone who ordered from Matrix talking about how great KP is 2 weeks before EB even sends mine out. :(

I would probably go completely insane with anticipation. Or even more insane with anticipation than I am already, which would not be a Good Thing.
