Wow, looks really awesome. I don't know how you all design the counters like you do but it looks beautiful.

Wow, looks really nice ! How difficult is it to do the map ? I have no experience making maps with this game and wonder about it.

Hi sPzAbt653

Obviously the map is a difficult and long process (depends on size mainly), we share the work on a dropbox to allow quicker achievement.
The main problem is the coastlines wich had to be done manually.
Other items like rivers streams, terrain and ressources are more "easier"
I found an usefull tool on the forum "the map scanner" wich make lets say 30% of the job for the coastlines.

I am also working on an other map with a bigger scale that I will show on a separate thread (Europe 250x204).
This could be use and shared for divisionnal scenario scale for example.

Hello! To prove that we are still working hard on this mod, I have now uploaded some screenshots of our map development:

After importing the raw map, the partly unsightly coastal lines were straightened. Afterwards, we have placed a few important cities (New York, London, Madrid, Paris) to use as a point of orientation for further map content. After working out the British Isles, I went to France. A lot of work is waiting here!

The next step is to position and label the smaller cities. Do not be fooled ... what looks so easy here takes hours!

Now the main rivers. For their development, the cities offer a very good orientation.

Now it's time for the infrastructure. All the cities and fortresses must have a reasonable road network...

And finally, the landscapes and additional resources follow. Finished. All in all 4 days of work.

It is a lot of work. I see that the map scale is about 40Kms/hex, unfortunately that is still too much for a divisional or even Corps only game, have you considered making an even more detailed map (say 20Kms/hex) for a limited part of Europe?

I got this project, see on separate thread (Europe 20kms/hex), but first we have to finalize 1776 map.

Thanks all,

The Fortress and other custom ressources sprites had been designed by Monsieur TheBattlefield wich made a really cool job.

A small update with Nato Zoom sprite (will be included in the MOD)
