I couldn't reply to the review thread so made my own.

I just recently got UV but what made me decide is not the reviews but

A. Gary Grigsby
B. You guys

I'm a fanatical player of Pac War and Harpoon so when I saw a new GG game I had to check it out. I rarely give credence to reviewers. Most of them are not grognards and if the game isn't flashy or shows some boobs then it doesn't get a good review. UV, Pacwar and Harpoon are the type of games that you have to think about. It's about strategy but if you see my tagline it's not all about strategy and tactics. Thank you everyone who put in time and effort for this great game.

Doing some more learning then will be looking for some PBEM.

I too loved PacWar but left it for a while. I was also watching the patch status of the game. I wouldn't part with credit card info over the net so I wasn't going to spring for it. I went to a grand opening of a Fry's Electronic Store out here in CA and promised the world to my wife so she could break loose the pocketbook when I saw it on the shelf. I finally had to give her the line that I was, after all, just back from Iraq and deserved something!

As for Harpoon, That is one of my all time favorites. My new problem with it is that Harpoon3 is edging out all of the DB2000 scenarios and it seems is trying to force everyone to shell out 45 Bucks for the "lok and kee" to play it. When you look at the modding community for Falcon4.0, Papy's NASCAR Series and EA's f12002 sims it just makes the Harpoon3 guy look like a money grabber. Or I guess you could say makes me a cheap b*****d.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the game as much as I have.
