If they have matching names, that means they must be in different folders, hmmm.
The scenariofile itself contains very little information, title, short description, complexity, difficulty, seeting and date.
Most of the details and the scenario itself are compressed and encrypted (I kid you not) in den scen file.

That was exactly my thought. I could make a filter for playable nation or search for text in the scenario briefing.

How cool would little country flags be to indicate what nations are available in the scenario?

Just a quick post for me to say thanks again for this tool. Just come back to CMANO to see what all the recent changes are. I've downloaded the latest mission pack, and this tool is just so useful for checking out all the new missions.

Thanks !

Great! there is a possibility to implement the information regarding the score in each individual scenario played?

Hi,
First off sorry for the late reply.
The only way I can imagine this is inputting the score by hand.
The viewer has no direct "connection" to the game; there is no way to read scenario results.
As I see some people like to keep record of scenarios played, I could implement some mini database to enable
marking scenarios as played, comment them and note the score, but all of this would have to be done by hand in the viewer...

Thank you all for the feedback,

Lunex

could you check if the different versions of scenarios have exact the same filename?
Thats the only option i see to relate them. then i could check the filedates and offer cleaning of older versions...

might the file time stamp be useful here.....?

This is great! I added it to my "noob" guide as it should be particularly helpful for those looking for more of the easier or smaller scenarios to play. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1374061499

I recommend adding the command line argument or windows file extension association feature request to the feature request list if you haven't already.

WarefareSims ought to just buy the code from you so they can include it in the scenario picker.

Inputting things by hand, launching by hand, etc. All fine. Once lots of players are already doing something then it becomes easier for the developers to justify in business terms spending the time to add the features needed to not have to do everything by hand. It goes from someone "might" use data export to people definitely will use it because they're already doing something with the data.

I am working on it :)
I plan on saving notes & scores in textfiles next to the scenarios.
So if you take notes on e.g. 'A Day at Red Flag, 1977.scen' a textfile 'A Day at Red Flag, 1977.rem' will be created in the same folder.
The Scenario Browser will look for these files and show scenarios as "Already played" if you entered a score and show Notes.

Another thing I'm working on is performance.
Is the initial scenario loading and then filtering reasonable fast on your machines?
If you hover over the option button it should tell you loading and filtering time in milliseconds.

Best Regards
Lunex

Lunex,

I've used your tool a lot and, FWIW, I like the idea of being able to store this sort of information.
Thanks again for creating this tool.

The community should develop a set of tags or keywords for scenarios to assist in sorting.

Yes, every scenario contains XML-element DBVersion, which stores DB file name. Example:
<DBVersion>DB3K_478.db3</DBVersion>
