Flame Thrower Crash to Desktop Issue - 8/25/2019 7:03:31 PM

Status: offline 		I'm playtesting a new scenario I am working on and have had this happen 2 out of 3 times when a Flame Thrower fires. I searched the forums and do not see anything come up searching both "Flame Thrower" and "FlameThrower".

Has anyone else encountered this? I don't have a save game, was in a hurry to see if it would reproduce but now that it's happened twice, I'll run through the scenario again and save right before I fire each time.

Status: offline 		It has been discussed before and I thought it was fixed but it still happens about 50% of the time.

Status: offline 		I also remember this issue being discussed in the past, but I thought it had been fixed by Peter a long time ago.

As regards to the inability to locate the previous discussion, it's likely they were called "FT" (in classical ASL jargon) and the forum search engine cannot look for such short strings.

Status: offline 		Yeah, I'm going to run through the scenario again and save between FT shots but its takes a few turns to get the unit into range to fire.

Status: offline 		OK, here is the save game. Unzip and load the save game file, then first off, fire the Flame Thrower in Hex 12,15 at the Russians in Hex 13, 17. I had 2 back to back crash to desktops.

Status: offline 		What ToTH version are you running? I'm using v.1.1.21 and I regret to report I was unable to duplicate the crash.

I fired 10 times as directed (from 12,15 to 13,17), then I pressed the red button to continue with the Russian Advancing Fire Segment. The game never crashed .

Just along pause, then it goes back to the start screen. I deleted the unit, added another one back and allocated a FT, same results. BUT I created a new scenario with the same unit setup (GE Assault Engineer with Flame Thrower) and it worked fine so I am at a loss.

Status: offline 		I have consistently repeated the crash by repeating the same steps in the same order from the beginning of the FIRE phase up to the point
where you are about to use the flame thrower. I SAVE after every turn. Every time I reloaded that save file then use the FT it crashed. No, I
do not have the file anymore. To avoid the FT from crashing again after it has crashed once is to change the order of units firing. Don't repeat
the sequence of firing units you took previously when it crashed.
