Just as a lark to see what happens, I constructed a German Special Forces unit, researched Amphibious Warfare to level 1 to get a long range amphib trans and went for Iceland.

I was surprised there wasn't even a Garrison Unit in Reykavik.

Maybe Fork should include one?

The problem is Iceland gets a maritime bomber. If it isn't in the city it gets less than 5 supply.

Personally I would like to see some airfield construction options on hexes outside cities. Especially islands where if you use an air unit (which you should to scout and keep your opponent from sneaking up on you) it is vulnerable to amphibious assault among other things. If you just put a ground unit (which will be way more defensible) you give up any hope of scouting and impacting naval units in the area.

The main city should have ground forces and the airbase would of course have the air unit. Maybe an option to upgrade its AA defense for the hex.
