But how many of you play FPS? I mean, some of you might, and if you do, and have UT2k3, here's a good reason to keep it installed on your computer.

Looks really good, should be a release soon, looking to get some nice, Mature folk in the community...and, I dunno, I kinda couldn't think of anywhere better to look for Mature people who're really into WWII than here. :)

Hope this isn't just a complete waste of my time and reputation.

I think I need to quit my job and take a break in order to keep up with all new games coming out. :D

This looks great. What do they mean with "Unreal Tournament 2004"?? Is it an expansion from UT2003 or just a handy name for a patch package?

Seeing as UT2K3 uses a souped up version of the original UT engine, a new upgrade might be welcome, especially looking at what Half-life 2 looks like.. :)

oOooh Tracer, you're an old Quake player!

Let the freaks come forth!

I played some quake, too. It's an excellent game, though I was a bit too late.

Now I mostly play Day of Defeat.

Before SP:WaW got me the first time I played ... Counter strike! ..for like a year, never got involved in any clans though. :(

I started to get involved in the CS forums, irc, etc. and the whole gaming experience started taking so much time I had to quit the whole thing... then I started SP:WaW 1st time (back in year 2000).

I got involved in the forums and pbem and also SP:WaW came so time consuming I had to quit the whole thing... few months passed.

Next FPS was Team Fortress Classic (I really loved the game), I got into clans, irc, practice etc. It was all fun but at that time my second child was born and I decided to quit the whole TFC thing... now it has been five months off TFC and I still feel like going back...

I guess my gaming is just ups and quits... I am trying hard to keep the balance with SP:WaW, it keeps me off all the other games... :)

I never did get "into" FPS games, or even RTS for that matter. I have Parkinson's, and the hand-eye coordination just isn't there.

Looks like fun though. :)

Well.. I have a lot of online experience with FPS. I played Quake 2, Delta Force (part one), Counterstrike, Day of Defeat and still do occasionally play a sniper match of Ghost Recon. But for most of these games I say 'thank you' at the moment. It's just no longer interesting. Well.. as I mentioned.. unless I can play against walking bushes with guns (GR). Now that was a real thrill for a change.. hey.. did that fern just shoot at me.. *whack* o dear.. it did.. :D I still love that game for it's excellent camouflage that, to a certain extent, REALLY works

I'm just trying to do a favor for a friend who's on the dev team, he wanted me to find some people who were Mature, interested in WWII, and Gamers...and there's no better place than here to do that that I can find. :D

Nah! What you should do is get a job as a game reviewer for one of the PC game mags. Then you could get a new PC and take it, along with the cost of the games as business deductions on your taxes and get paid to play games! Now that's wargamer heaven, IMHO! :D:D

Having done that for a living for almost 6 years, I have to say that you're way off-base about the PC and games being business deductions...

I got my PC from the magazine, and the games were always free samples from the game companies. No business expense to deduct. :D

I play DoD........which is "DAy of Defeat"
It's a WW2 online game where you capture flags or blow things up.
I belong to a Clan....(And no it's not the KKK  ).....We play in Leagues....Both German and American/British sides...

Yeah, afraid I'm already taken (although she may throw me back if I pay too much attention to the MC. LOL)

If I ever get around to picking up GR, I'm gonna download that mod.

:D

Jim1954: I gave the GR mod a whirl.. MAN.. OK so my Fallschirmjager team (armed with an MP44, FG42s, a K43 sniperriffle and a MG42) got chopped to tiny bits against some tenacious Canadians.. BUT OH WAS IT FUN!

For all you folks out there who own the GR game: 2 thumbs up for this mod!

And now back to SPWAW for my turn against Rob.. *takes out the white flag prematurely*
