Hello.
I prepared a set of stylized icons especially for those who are not so familiar with NATO icons. I hope now the game should be played much easier and more clearly. I would like to hear your opinion and may be some tips for improving the icons.

I tried to use as abstract forms of units as possible so as not to become attached to something specific because the icons will be applied to a rather wide view of various units, some of which will undoubtedly differ from the icons, but they will be rather clearly displayed on the map.

A small feature: since there is no way to mirror units in the game, and since most scenarios are designed for orientation from left to right, friendly troops have the orientation of the icons from left to right and enemy troops - from right to left.

To install the mod, download the archive from this link and put the contents of the archive into the data/graphics folder.
If you want to return everything back, then download this archive and do the same.

*** EDIT: ***
I redid the icons a bit. Made them a little more detailed and made the weapons of the infantry more visible
Also I've enlarged mount/dismount icons
Also I've updated AAR icons to make it more understandable

And a couple of screenshots of how it looks without gradients.
to install use this link

Thanks and have a nice game!

So we need to download and reinstall for the updates?

I updated the archive, so you need to replace all the files again.

I am really liking these, especially in the ISO map.

Hi,
Thanks for the mode! I prefer these symbols and adds to gameplay for me.

I did notice that the detailed Unit pop-up when the pointer hovers over the icon doesn't show any more. The first description does but not second w more unit info.
Can u check? I will have to go back to original icons if that featured doesn't work now.

cheers.

Some icons don´t match:

There were also some Soviet tanks that had the infantry flame thrower symbol and probably other stuff I missed.

Can´t remember having this issue before, maybe an update broke it?

Are we talking about this mod or the game setting that can be toggled under Options->Graphics?
