Mechanized + Hv Armour bug?

When I produce a Mechanized unit, and elect them to be Heavy Armour among the options, when it is deployed, it is either Assault or Anti Tank, as if it is a regular infantry.
And it seems randomized.

Seems like a bug for me...

You are mis reading or miss understanding things. Go back to the production screen and watch how the factors change when you select heavy armor or breakthrough.

Cannot attach a file because it's too large seemingly.

But I am sure that when I produce a Mechanized unit, I can pick Breakthrough or Heavy Armour.
How from that gets produced Assault or Anti-Tank is beyond my understanding.

Nope he is correct. It deployed with the wrong tech. I will add that to the bug list.

Unit gfx is wrong for motorized units i believe.

So 3rd motorized produced and comes as an infantry unit out of deployment.
I add engineering to the motorized unit and it becomes an armor icon/gfx. Wad?

In terms of research for breakthrough and heavy tank, for me as german Breakthrough is now 42 while hv tank is still 39.
Seems most of the resources are automatic while you get some few choises but the above example make it pretty much useless to buy hv tanks units. How does this work more in detail?

It depends how many research point you dump in each category.
I've not checked but it could be quite simple that each research point subtracts 1 week per turn to the research (it is an example).

It can simply be checked by taking note of how many research points are in a category - like put 1 in Assault, 2 in Anti-Tank, 3 in X and 4 in Y.
Note down how many days are missing.
Let 1 turn pass. Check how many days are missing.
Let another turn pass. Check again how many days are missing.

Draw conclusions then.

The image changed? There might be a duplicate name. I'll check.

Hi Alvaro,

I think i added the enineering to an armor already... my bad.
But the icons for motorized are the same as infantry though.
And a motorized inf looks like an armor unit.
somtehing is weird there :p

I can't figure how to add screenshots but i have 1 mot. looking like an inf and 1 mot. looking like an Armor unit.

Motorized units are just a name.
The Italian motorized corps are mech units.
