After procuring a copy of Photoshop I updated and added to all the EF base mods I have made previously available. I think I modded every base in EF. With Photoshop I've been able to improve image clarity, color blending, and translucence. Examples are below.

Sure beats MS Paint. :)

All files are as named below and are available for download here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/3p5zrn68n1ulyrq/mWnsTFpcNH

Of note:

All new German camo patterns
New German VP hex marker
All minor country bases redone
Perspective added where noticeable
Added two new styles for Finns as Axis
New Italians EF
New Polish Insignia
Added Polish LWP
All German units shield insignias have been reduced a bit in size.
And finally lots of minor color and highlighting changes.

Of further note, due to the file structure of CS, Soviet Guards vs. German can only be displayed in combo with either of the German Vanilla units.

East Front is final. Don’t plan on looking at it anymore. I’m seeing these in my sleep LOL When I get ambitious again I plan on going through West Front. I’ll keep you posted.

Minors

Soviet and Poles

Wehrmacht and Waffen SS

Question?

How do you extract these into EFII?

The file looks like it is a double zip!? Never worked with one of those before.

Do you extract directly into the game (saving old files)or place in mods folder and use JSGME?

Thanks for any help!
Big Ivan

Big Ivan,

Assuming you have JSGME installed, create a folder in the MODS folder for the base scheme you downloaded. For example in MODS folder create another folder named "Wehrmacht Camo 2". Then unzip the contents of the "Wehrmacht Camo 2.zip" into that folder. Use this same procedure for any bases you download. When you start your JSGME, you'll see the folders you created, simply activate them to use your new bases. In the image below you see my West Front MODS folder with various mods available. As you can see I have several Base mods in this folder. Hope that helps.

48th,

Do you think you could zip the content of your Mods folder including all your base mods as one Zip file?

I know may of the good commanders inhibiting these fora are not necessarily that comfortable with file folders etc, so I believe that could be a great assistance towards them.

Just an idea

48th,

Hey thanks a million!
Followed what you indicated and Wham! new bases in EF!! Enabled with JSGME and now I have Winter Axis Finns, Guards and Wehrmacht vanilla.

Had to do some file work but got everything in the right place, so sweet. They look so much more appealing than the standard bases, nice work!!

Thanks again!

Big Ivan

Thank you. Appreciate the comments. Any of the German bases will work in WF too. I do plan on redoing all the WF, just need to get the ambition to do it. Here's a pic of of the American Army in winter clothes mixing it up with the SS in the Ardennes

Yeah,I was thinking about doing something like that. I'll take a look into it. Have to be careful because some will overwrite others. Maybe one or two zips for all the minors. I'll be back.

I have a question. How does the Russian guards with vanilla work. I don't understand that process. You mean the german bases can't be used in scenarios with guards?

Try this:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/t1f2jeb1r7smxgl/EF%20Base%20Mods.zip?dl=0
Seems I lost the previous link.

All the Base mods are now in one zip folder. Simply download, unzip into your JSGME MODS folder, start up JSGME, and pick and choose which bases you want to use.

Thanks for the interest. This should work for bases

Two zip files one for EF and one for WF

These files are both intended to be used with JSGME, as such unzip each file to the MODS folder of the appropriate game and you should be good to go. When you run your mod enabler you should see all sorts of new mods available.

The pics above are two years old. Design has evolved and I think improved. I think these two mods will change every base in both games. In the WF folder there is a "WF Base Mega mod" folder which should be always active. It mods every country not listed in the other WF mods. A lot to see in these so be sure to view all the options
