Allied assault on Naha did not go so well for him. My supply levels have dropped again and most units are in the red zone but that can't be helped. Subs are bringing it in, planes are flying it in, and I'm seeing if I can get two PBs to get a fast transport mission in. They likely won't make it, but, if they do they bring 2,000 supply points with them.

The next turn. More dead allied planes. Ops losses have been a real boost for me thus far.

I was able to clear the supply path to my main position in the center.

And rough up another armor battalion. Meanwhile, Scott has been sending his heavies against my infantry on my left flank (on the right of the screen). One upside to China is that it's absorbing his airforce to keep me from overwhelming him there.

October 10th Scott tried an air raid over Kagoashima. The initial sweeps did not do him any good and he lost a number of heavies.

Bad day for the British bomber force. And, I'm always happy to shoot down B-29s!

In China, I apparantly forgot I had a division crossing the river. It's about to pay a very large price as it did not touch any of Scott's armor in the hex and he pounded it the next turn and it ran away after a shock attack.

It would have been worse, but Scott tried an airborne assault on Saigon where he lost both Beaufigthers and 6 Liberator transports (always fun to shoot down). His sweeps over Kagoshima did better for him. I pulled my fighters back. I'm not concentrated on the HI right now.

Here's the airdrop at Saigon. I think those poor boys are going to spend the rest of the war in a prison camp.

Fighting in Burma! it's a cat fight around Moulmein and I slapped that Indian brigade coming out of Malaya again and pushed it back. The two divisions I moved there can now head north and help defend Moulmein or the other river crossing where it looks like his Chinese corps is heading across. I already have a dug in division there so I'm not too worried about it.

Here's the fight against the Indian brigade. I'll leave my brigade behind in strat mode for a quick skedaddle. And, in China Scott attacked my division that inadvertantly crossed the river. Many heros gave their all for the Emperor in that fight.

Bloody turn! Flak did well over Manila. My minefields continue to be ineffective. Scott sank a DD near Tsingtao and I sank an SS at Kagoashima. I also had a sub catch an unescorted LCT and most likely sank it with gunfire. Scott sank an RO at Naha.

Nice result from the Manila bombardment. I still have about 53K supply and continue to shoot down several planes per turn. I think Scott is going to have to assault it or see 9 divisions tied up for the remainder of 1944. But, that would still leave him an entire year so he might not mind.

More hell at Naha. I think he just has too many troops so it may fall in the next couple of assaults. I've started moving units out by air to have rements that can start to rebuild. But, with the fort level falling it may not take too long for Okinawa to fall. Still, taking lots of men and material with me.

Kill ratio is in my favor at Moulmein but he's getting very close to the 3-1 to kick me out of there. I have a good division there, it's just got a low morale.

I've finally got my divisions in position to attack Scott's right flank. It looks like he's moving in reinforcements from the left. He pounded my units again but they're in better terrain so they recovered some of their disruption.

Here is the actual order of battle for my attack. I opted for deliberate since I don't know what his division plus armor would do to me in a shock attack. I do have two more divisions moving but they're a few days away and I don't want too many reinforcements to reach Scott.

We are well into "deep war" which some Soviet author called 1943. Here is the latest. It was a good flak turn and Scott tried a raid on Nagasaki. Fortunately, the heavies showed up before most of the fighter sweep.

More damage to the British bomber force. More Japanese fighter losses but hopeful not too many pilots since this all took place over the Japanese HI.

I had a small naval bombardment sent for one of the Ryuku islands and ran into two convoys instead. First one.

Second one. It's always nice to get an APA, just too bad that there was not more damage to the other ships. I did wind up bombarding the airfield to little noticeable effect except, perhaps, to have delayed his fighter sweeps over the HI.

My attack against the marines in China did not go so well. Scott got the new division in there on time and my boys are all very disrupted. On the plus side, they are absorbing a whole lot of allied airpower.

The airborne boys at Saigon waved the white flag. Oddly, Scott was sweeping mines at Saigon this turn (and may have lost 4 YMS to shore batteries). I'm sending a reserve division into the city just to make sure.

Another bombardment at Manila. As far as I"m concerned, these are free VP. I think in the long run, the VP loss from assaults would be less than letting me shoot down 7 planes a day and losses from bombardments. But, I am now just north of 50K supply so the party can't last forever.

Moulmein needs to hang on as long as possible. He has two Aussie divisions there that don't seem to be suffering any real negative combat effects as their AV has been above 400 for each attack.

After the Indian division impaled itself at Moulmein, the Chinese showed us how a river crossing is done. My second guards divison is in the jungle with level 2 forts, fully supply and no disruption.

With the World Series, work and whatnot it's been a slow week game-wise. But here is the latest installment. I swept over a hex in Central China and shot down some US planes and Scott swept over hexes in Burma and shot down more US planes. Sadly, despite good flak in Naha, Scott did not lose many heavies.
