Marshall Ellis and all others,

It is clear that there are two factions of players when it concerns the introduction of sim movement in EiA.

Therefore, I would like to propose a compromis.
I think we can all agree that when it comes to hot seat or TCP/IP play, regular turn based play is the prefered play style (although I could argue that even in TCP/IP play, sim movement could severly reduce down times for nations not currently involved in any war).
When it comes to PBEM, it seems to me sim movement is preferable over turn based movement to enhance game speed.
Would it be possible (and I look to Marshall Ellis now) to introduce an option into EiA to play using sim movement rules instead of playing turn based? Since you told us that you did develop a sim movement engine, would it be too much of a job to introduce this engine as a secondary option?

Jeroen.

I'd say simultaneous movement would be a huge boon to TCP/IP network play as well.

Hotseat sounds like the best way to go is classic turn-based.

As always, more options are better!! ;)

I would agree that for those that want EiA "pure", the strict turn structure should be included for reasons already stated. However, for those who are willing to sacrifice whatever perceived benefits that structure provides in favor of a [much] more expedient PBEM game, I too would counsel for a si-movement "option". :)

Gosh, I couldn't have said it better myself. (sniff)
