Been playing this game for a while so I'm embarrassed to ask this question: When I'm attacking but haven't directly allocated artillery support, if artillery units are set on "D", will they support all attacks in range or do I have to set them on "Tactical Reserve"?

You don't have to set them to 'T'. Use 'T' when moving the Artillery units and attacking. Use 'D' when not moving.

That depends on loss settings and length of combat. Artillery in Support Mode [T or D] will generally contribute half of what they would contribute if they were assigned directly. I think I covered it in this video:

Steve, not Larry.

Fiddle with those buttons at the Top Left of the screen to get the Original UI with the Circle of Stars. [Hit the right button to expand the buttons, then hit the far right button, then collapse them back. You have to do this every time you open TOAW].

Edit: That should be in the Manual at '6.1.14. The Panels Control Panel'

Thank you Steve and I apologize, dont know how I got Larry stuck in my head as I chuckled at watching an Arty Utube demo and thinking your name ( well not yours) is used for the US Army Arty center...
