USSR air missions

Why do USSR air units always revert back to "full support" after being set to "mission only"? This happens after every turn or after a save.

Makes no difference if USSR is active or not.

Also what kind of game, which scenario, and what is the status of the USSR neutral or Allied?

Only USSR, 1939 scenario(Hotseat) and it is still present in 1.00.03. USSR neutral and as Allies in 1.00, haven't gotten to USSR joining Allies in 1.00.03.

The scenarios have changed from 1.0 to 1.00.031. There was some bad data in some countries causing bugs.

I'll take a look.

Try and replicate to narrow down because I can't replicate it in 1.00.031

USSR neutral or allies maintains its mode

OK 1.00.031 applied, problem still there. I loaded up fresh 1939 Italian Option on hotseat. Switched USSR air units around Zhitomr from full support to mission only. Saved game, exited and then the restart showed those exact units back to full support.

DoWed USSR as Germany. On USSR turn manually switched air units from full support mode to mission only. Cycled turns through Axis then to Allies again and once again all USSR air units revert back to full support.

Perhaps my DLed game was corrupted from the original download, but this problem has been there from the beginning.

Not a game breaker but a nuisance.

Both! Anytime you exit a turn whether for a save or go to your opponents turn, all USSR air units go to full support mode.

I'm surprised that no one else has reported this, so it may just be my DL was corrupted.

I just confirmed this.


Load new game, place USSR air units on mission (the units near Zhitomir).

Save game.

Exit to menu

Load the saved game

USSR air units returned to full support.

It does not appear to occur in between turns, but rather the save process and reloading that saved game.

Essro is right, as long as you don't save and just cycle through turns the manual setting remains.
