Hello!

In Cmano I used the Relief map much times. It had better resolution than the BMNG map. But now in CMO the Relief map is streamed (downloade) from internet everytime. I believe in CMANO, was stored in disk, but I cannot find the textures.

I think I can make a custom layer and use it in all the globe if I find those textures and know how to make a custom layer (which I don't know). Can someone point me to use the old Relief map in CMO?

Thanks!

I think you can find the old relief data in WW\Cache\Relief_300 folder structure in the CMANO, if that helps get you started.

Still I have download from internet, even in the new CMO i see there are 2 Relief folders in the Cache one: Relief_90 and Relief_SRTM3.... but sill downloading from internet when set the Relief map.

Me either in terms of what you're actually trying to do with creating a custom layer.

I've never touched that part of CMANO much, or CMO, I just mentioned where the old files where cause your project\thought sounded interesting. I would look at some of the tutorials relating to custom layers and user created scenarios that are floating around these forums as a starting point beyond the files.

To be honest I'm not sure it's worth the effort if it's even possible, but more power too you. BTW the relief data that is downloaded in CMO *should* be getting cached in <cmo install folder > \WW\cache structure and then not re-downloaded again, so you may be trying to solve a problem that doesn't really exist after the initial download. If you find it really is re-downloading even when the particular file(s) exists in the cache then maybe you've found a bug that needs reporting.

We really don't recommend messing with that.
