Is there ever going to be a time in the future when Strategic Command stops this tactic of endless move and attack in an endless procession? Multiple units attacking a sole defender have been in wargames for a very long time already and I'm not talking about stacking, 1 simple CTRL-LEFT-CLICK to select the units you want to attack with. Please Please, Strategic Command at least try and catch up with the normal, and break away from this incessant stream of moving units in 1 at a time to attack and then move them out again to allow and another unit to repeat the same process all over again.

I'm not saying that this request has no merit. I just want to point out, that if this is a screenshot from the SCWW1 beta, until the game is released, you are still operating under the non-disclosure agreement.

I'm not operating under the non-disclosure agreement. As I'm not part of the beta team! The screen shot is from a lets play video, plus the fact that the in game combat dance has not changed for a very long time so no secret there to disclose.

My main concern about this is that attacking can yield additional information - opposing artillery fire from unseen units, or the effect of unseen HQs on combat effectiveness - let alone the RNG result from the first round.

So even if you intend to attack with 3 units, you may have reason not to continue with that intention after the first unit has gone. You might only need 2 units, or you might decide persisting with the attack isn't a great idea and cut your losses.

Plus, really complex attacks would need a complex interface to set up - a 5 unit attack with different units going in different orders...

Then all is good I suppose.

I think Warplan handles multiple unit attack quite elegantly. I also really like the naval stacking in Warplan. The absence of these two features are really causing me pause in buying SC: WWI. They are both desperately needed.

I just found this post and have to agree. Watching multiple Corps attacks destroy their hapless target by dancing in and out like a finely tuned Marching Band performance during a football game halftime show is really becoming annoying. There is a lot to like in the game. However, this level of clockwork coordination with attacking Corps shuffling around from all points of the compass , particularly in this time period, is a problem. Just my two cents.
