Orca I've only heard of a 3 AS-4 loadout. The internal bay can not fit 2 missiles and it only has 2 external pylons so 3 would be the max

Hi,
Adding to Iborg for SSN Suffren in CMO:

Flank antenna in db has 70 nm detection range. On Map only 40 nm is displayed.(See attached)
I guess inherited from former Amethyst class. Hoping to see this corrected.

Also towed array sonar is planed to have 360° detection capacity.
See link:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barracuda-class_submarine_(France)

Thanks !

That may be why I couldn’t find a picture of a 3x AS-4 loadout. Would an AS-4 fit in the internal bay?

If this is considered to be possible, can a 3x AS-4 loadout be added to the Tu-22M?

The AS-4 goes on an external centerline pylon when carrying x3 for the TU-22. This blocks access to the rotary bay, so I assume that's another big reason why you don't see a ton of pictures of x3 Kitchen loadouts. There are probably a lot more situations where it's useful to have a rotary bay full of ordinance (the previously shown bay full of Kickbacks) plus two Kitchens rather than just three Kitchens. That being said, it's an entirely plausible loadout that the aircraft has flown with and can be equipped with so I entirely support the inclusion of those missing loadouts into the database.

All variants of the Tu-22 Blinder are missing a loadout of x1 #2375 FAB-9000M-54 GPB and the #1662-1663 and #3007 Tu-22 Blinders improperly have the probe refueling proerty despite the fact that those specific variants did not ever have a refueling probe, that is why the Dalni variants (those with a D in their name, e.g. the Tu-22PD, RD, etc.) were developed.

REQUEST NAME CHANGE

I thought this had been changed previously?

#709 INF PLT (BRITISH ROYAL ARMY) - (United Kingdom) change to #709 INF PLT (BRITISH ARMY)- (United Kingdom)
#707 Mech Plt (BRITISH ROYAL ARMY) - (United Kingdom) change to #707 MECH PLT (BRITISH ARMY)- (United Kingdom)
Its not a generic term.
The term "BRITISH ROYAL ARMY" is simply never used, its either just British Army or a specific regiment or corps title which is awarded the term "ROYAL" as an honour from the sovereign. e.g Royal Regiment of Wales etc.

Regards
K

The #1365 and #997 SSC-3 Styx ASM should have its top speed be set to 622.03 knots (or 320 meters per second.) The current value of 660 knots seems like it may have been derived from an error in reading a Russian chart detailing the statistics of the missile (as it converts to 340 meters per second.)

The highlighted section indicates the speed (or as transliterated "marching speed") in meters per second while the row that lists the 340 value indicates the weight of the rocket motor (or as transliterated "weight of the accelerator".)

Submarine AIP Implementation Issues

Hey guys, I'm pretty sure this issue has been raised before, but I am fairly confident that the way CMANO and now CMO has implemented AIP for those submarines so equipped, is incorrect.

My understanding is that AIP simply replaces the diesel generator as a power source to charge the batteries (hence no need to snorkel). The batteries still deliver the 'hotel load' to run the boats systems AS WELL AS the electricity to run the propulsion motors.

The current implementation seems to simply drain the battery and then switch over to, and drain the AIP...

There should still be a discharge/charge cycle with the boat running on batteries and periodically switching on the AIP to recharge the batteries.

If I have this totally wrong, I apologise, but if I'm right (or close to right) then it fundamentally effects AIP equipped doctrine.

Thanks for having a look.

Hey gang Im new to the forum but Im retired US Naval Intel and I just got into playing CMNAO/CMO. I started building my first scenario and when I was ready to load up all my airbases I realized that I couldn't load specific weapons on specific planes, notably the Israeli F-16I and the F-15I with Nuclear Freefall Bombs. Now I know and you know that Israel posseses nuclear weapons such as freefall bombs and Popeye missiles that HYPOTHETICLY could carry nuclear warheads. I know that there is NO documentation on SPACIFIC weapons designations and so forth. But could we like put into the Hypo databases 4 to 5 different generic bombs (freefall nuclear) spacificly 5kt, 15kt, 20kt and one that is modern like the B61 a dial a yield bomb with a yield that ranges from 20kt to 750kt and a 1 MT range weapon similar to the American B83, to make the game interesting and somewhat realistic. I mean I would love to go to Tehran and drop a 1 MT bomb on it from time to time after watching the news.....There is plenty of unclassified material out there stating that the F-15I and F-16I is nuclear certified and that Boeing even covered the Nuclear Consent device up so the test pilots that delivered the jets to Israel didn't see them. Also loading up the B-52g/h up with the B53 bomb....you don't have the option when the bomb wasn't retired from the inventory until just 2016 or 17....it was loadable until that time and there are documentation stating that and I can provide that...….I was a Nuclear Weapons Tech for 15 yrs working with the B43, B57 B61 Mods as well as others and I know they were used and loaded and I know what bombers were certified and loaded with for instance the B-52 H and G were loaded at times with 1 B53 and a plethora of mixes of ALCM, ACM. SRAM, B28 B61 and B83 depending on the mission so lets say 1 B-52 might have a load out of 1 B53, 4 B83 and either 12 ALCM, ACM or SRAM....of course these are MAX loadouts but that is just and example...get back with me for more ideas and discussion and lets fix this problem I need to finish my building of my Mid East War Game soon.

Word of advice, it's best to include said proof right off the bat when you submit an issue like that. Seeing as you've only posted 3 times you probably won't be able to include links or anything like that, but for the future when you will be able to post stuff, be sure to start off by including any sources/documentation you might have in regards to whatever issue you may be talking about. It's less work on their end having to research to confirm what you said is actually true, which means there is more of a chance that you'll see the fix sooner if at all.

I'm not employed by the company that maintains CMO or CMANO, I'm just another person posting issues on this forum. I was just letting you know how they'd prefer the stuff to be formatted, which they detail in the post I quoted below. Also, they're typically online around 5-8 hours from now so that's probably when they'll see your post.

quote:

ORIGINAL: apache85

Hey Zaslon,

Do you mean this post?

If so a large part of the reason why it's not been completed is the formatting and lack of detail. Database updates already take a long time to actually do, and that's when all the information is laid out for us. When requests are basically 'this is wrong, go read a webpage I linked to see what needs doing' it can massively increase the amount of time it takes to figure out what needs to be changed and then go and do it. When I see a ticket like that the first thing I think is 'this is going to take me an hour to figure out what this person actually wants' which is quickly followed by 'my time could probably be better spent on a different ticket'.

This post and this post are both examples of excellent formatting and detail--as such the tickets assigned to both have already been completed. The information is laid out in a logical manner, and references are included as actual references, not just 'go read this' links.

This thread, on average, generates literally dozens of hours of development work every day. If you really want something, putting some effort into making it easy for us to do drastically increases the chances of it happening. Complaining that your request hasn't been done and taking shots at us for doing other stuff in the mean time doesn't really have the same effect.
