Hi. Try to make a little mod with music of that period.
But cann't understand some moments.
I write in *.ini file:
"#ENDABLED=1"
And it works if names of my music files are the same as in the main folder.
But how to force the game to play music during players turn which name are not loop1, loop2, loop3, but loop4 or Rus_1.
Thanks.

Hey, had the same question and got answer from steam. Built my own "music mod" but it looks like it only plays randomly the first three tracks named loop1-loop3. And it looks like there is no way to influence the shuffle probability etc.

quote:

Hi!

Unfortunately you cannot add music, but you can certainly mod the original game files. The background music would be the loopX.ogg files and changing them to whatever you prefer will work as long as they are named the same and are set to be OGG music files.

Ideally you just mod them like the following:

1) Navigate to the following USER folder on your end, typically found here for the game:

C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWI\Mods

2) Create a folder within the Mods folder such as:

C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWI\Mods\My Mod

3) Within this folder create another folder called Music and then place your custom modified loop files within this folder.

4) When you launch the game, navigate to SETTINGS from the MAIN MENU and then the MODS button. From there you should see your mod listed and just turn it on by checking the box to the right of your listed mod.

That's it and it should then play your custom music in game.

Here are the notes from the README file (for further reference) that would be found in your MOD root folder.

;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
;
; Strategic Command WWI MOD FOLDER - README

Mod packages that simply include modified graphics, sounds as well as possibly localization text, that will overwrite the game defaults,
must be installed to this folder in order for the game to properly locate and read the modified files.

Example:
Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWI\Mods\<modfoldername>
Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWI\Mods\<modfoldername>\Bitmaps
Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWI\Mods\<modfoldername>\Interface
Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWI\Mods\<modfoldername>\Sound
Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWI\Mods\<modfoldername>\localization.txt

Mod packages that also include modifications to the default campaigns can be installed here as well.

Example:
Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWI\Mods\<modfoldername>
Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWI\Mods\<modfoldername>\Campaigns
Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWI\Mods\<modfoldername>\Campaigns\_1939 World at War
Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command WWI\Mods\<modfoldername>\Campaigns\_1939 World at War\Bitmaps

Hm. It means we must unit music in three different super-long tracks. It's not very good.

I don't think it is possible to mod the music at this time.
