It has AI and multi-player. Does it have a setup for Solo with out the AI?

You want to play all the factions at once?

if you mean either hotseat or taking multiple factions then the simple answer is no. I believe you can set up a server game with more than one faction per player so feasibly you could create a game, allocate the factions to yourself and play via the server that way.

But, if I recall, this maybe turn number limited, as it was created to enable a situation where someone didn't get knocked out of a MP game early if they picked a small faction and then got unlucky with the AI moves

Oh thanks guys. I was thinking of Hotseat and taking control of multiple factions and letting the AI control most. Ok, got my answer. Thanks again.

Some of the older ageod games had the ability to switch sides when reloading a saved game and pumping the f12? key.. I tried various f key on my copy of fog empires to no avail. You might want to post this on the slitherine forum as maybe it’s possible, or at least get the developers attention. Honestly, I am unequivocally distraught that slitherine/ matrix seem to regard hotseat as an afterthought or some kind of archaic function no longer deemed necessary.. how can a war game be a war game without hotseat ? Until Ai is as at least as good as a feeble human opponent, hotseat is mandatory in my book.
