Status: offline 		Hello - Playing the excellent French campaign.

Am in a night mission, scouts spot two Hinds hovering at their BP. I figure I'll illuminate with a mortar round and call in some Mirage F1s with A2A missiles.

I mistime the illum so it's late. The planes fly off without engaging. They are neither targeted nor engage anything else. Then they report N/A.

First, it's frustrating they didn't engage - it's 1981, they can't detect Hinds with radar? But more importantly, N/A!? They didn't engage or get shot at, give me a break. The AI constantly calls in its fixed wings long after they have no main weapon ammo all while my AAA peppers them, but my pilots often take one useless run and are unavailable.

I respectfully suggest that if your planes make a dry pass and take no fire, they automatically be back on station after a time. It's just too huge an investment in points to suffer this finicky behavior.

What do you guys think? Thanks, I love the game!

Status: offline 		As far as I know, airplane N/A is also decided by air superiority condition. Even in balanced air superiority setting, there is a chance that your air planes will never come back.
