My apologies for ragging on this game after release. Fortunately, no one would ever listen to me anyway.

With the latest patch and a few initial mods thrown in, it greatly surpasses the originals. Take the current 15% off and be happy. Full price, it's still worth it.

Thanks to Matrix and the devs for responding so quickly to issues. I didn't think it was possible. But what do I know!

CC:TBF causes me to think of the classic CCs, ABTF thru GTC, the way CC2 made me feel about CC1. Thanks for the memories but no going back now.

It's awesome.

I feel bad about some of my gripes but I hope the developers know they are appreciated.

I had a lot of great battles playing through this.

My favorite map was Niscemi as the Americans. SO FREAKING EPIC! If I had to pick a favorite map (which is difficult) I'd say that one felt like the biggest adventure. It was contained in a small area but combined armor with a progressive battle across the fields and obstacles to the imposing town, which was like a fortress.

In some ways it reminded me of CC1 because you fight through the map step by step, and the map gets progressively more challenging as you reach the cliff taking on halftracks and heavy machine guns and have to figure out how to capture the town. I sent one group up the main road and another small group up the opposite side of the cliff and they got pinned and were clinging for dear life. Such an adventure!

I've never felt the degree of attachment to my troops and appreciated my troops to the extent that I do in this release. Every man really does feel like they count.

This game is a big win. Worth every penny. Matrix created a solid product. I look forward to what they come up with for the next release. The biggest gripes are essentially resolved. Now they can improve the strategic/operational gameplay, which is already shows promise. I highly anticipate the next release.
