Only when I loaded a mod (graphics) in the scenario folder. When I removed all the mods from the scenario folder the editor cleared up. Give it a try

I known that my mod is unusable in the Editor. Why, I do not know. Bit no biggie, just remove the mod. The game will fall back on the stock graphics and all is well.

Ow, I will try that tomorrow. I played around in the Editor a while back and had to remove my mod: the graphics were all messed up. Which I found weird, since they displayed just fine in the actual game.

I just did the mod not the graphics.

Dont change the size of the image from the original.

I'm enjoying a game right now, so won't be using the editor.

However, if I want to edit a campaign, what vanilla files do I need to replace Mike's mod file(s) with. I'm thinking just units.png but that alone did not help. Thanks!

Ok, I found the culprit (at least in my case).

Look at this:


The Graphics in the editor are a mess. This is the result of copy/pasting my mod into the campaign map.

By proces of elimination I found out what png file causes it. It was movepath.png.

If you leave that one out all is well:

Why movepath.png screws everything up I don't know, but I don't think you need it in the editor anyway.

This type of error says that someone put the wrong size image replacing the movepath.

It should be 1530x76 pixels

The horizontal width for each tile should be 90 pixels

Thanks for looking into this for us. I hope we don't have to lose those cool HQ figures that are "out of the box" so to speak.

Such a good mod, I was planning on doing the editing in a vanilla installation and then add the mod to play!

I will checkout removing the movepath file if it doesn't affect things.

well guess this patch only fixes the "ai not responding" bug in any new camps we start? i just installed the .05 patch and loaded my saved game where the ai stopped playing and it still doesnt play. i even reloaded a the turn from the beginning and replayed my turn and when i clicked the end play button the partisans poped up then nothing. the task bar went blank and the ai stopped playing. was hopeing to finish this camp but doesnt look like that will happen.

Nope, there is nothing wrong with my movepath.png as such. Size is correct. Something else is wrong. I copied the original movepath.png supplied with the game into the campaign map and started the editor. Same garbled graphics!

So the editor just can't handle ANY movepath.png in its campaign directory. So just leave that file out if you are in the editor and all seems fine. So you can use my mod, just minus the movepath.png

@Alvaro, maybe you can fix this. Not a big deal, but it is kinda weird the editor won't swallow the original movepath.png let alone any modded movepath.png

this patch should have fixed the issue for ongoing games. It did for me when I was testing the beta.

maybe you had a new different reason for the game freezing, send the save to Alvaro, he will fix it.

I assure you that in my install, copying the ORIGINAL movepath.png to the campaign directory makes the graphics go awry.

That is the movepath.png from last october and I don't know any better than that is the one supplied with the game.
If I delete that png file, the editor graphics are normal.
