So for some reason when I select a scenario to play from the Rising Sun main screen it can't find the main rs.exe file to start, it just crashes. I can start the game fine from selecting rs.exe so that is working it just seems there is a bad link between the main program menu and the actual game exe.

Both West Front and East Front work fine.

any thoughts on how to correct this?

crickets so far....

I will also say that it is the latest updated version 2.02 if that helps.

Can you post the last few lines of the log file?

well there are several log files that are created, frontend, engine, and logs. These are being created for west front as well even though it seems to find the .exe file and works fine.

The only error log that is opening up for Risingsun.exe is the "frontend" one since it's not actually finding and opening the RS.exe file so thus not creating any logs there.

The frontend log for Risingsun.exe starts with the line :

2020-01-11 12:51:29 rising sun.exe: [INFO ID 1] rising sun.exe 2.02 startup
2020-01-11 12:51:29 rising sun.exe: [NOTICE ID 100] RussianLeaders.bmp not found
2020-01-11 12:51:29 rising sun.exe: [NOTICE ID 100] GermanLeaders.bmp not found
2020-01-11 12:51:29 rising sun.exe: [NOTICE ID 100] ItalianLeaders.bmp not found
2020-01-11 12:51:29 rising sun.exe: [NOTICE ID 100] RomanianLeaders.bmp not found

this continues with several .bmps not found

and it ends with :

2020-01-11 12:51:36 rising sun.exe: [NOTICE ID 100] FlipButton.wav not found
2020-01-11 12:51:36 rising sun.exe: [NOTICE ID 100] FlipButton.wav not found
2020-01-11 12:51:37 rising sun.exe: [NOTICE ID 100] FlipButton.wav not found
2020-01-11 12:51:38 rising sun.exe: [INFO ID 1] rising sun.exe exit

I do have a few mods installed but again West Front and East Front also give me the same errors and they start up just fine. Also if I execute the RS.exe it starts up and runs just fine, I just can't make the transition from the main Rising Sun Menu and starting the main game program (RS.exe).

Update: I the only mod I had applied dealt with some art in West Front. I removed the mod so there shouldn't be any mods affecting anything at this point.
