Hello community !

I'm am a big fan of games like Close Combat or Armored Brigade (real time tactical). I like to play with a friend but we rarely can play at the same time (synchronously).

Do you know some game (we like military tactical like Armored Brigade or strategy like Heart Of Iron) where we can play asynchronously ? There is an example:

* Monday 1, 10h00: Player1 start a game, player2 join. Game start.
* Monday 1, 10h10: Player1 do his turn, then disconnect.
* Monday 1, 10h15: Player2 do his turn, then disconnect.
* Monday 1, 15h00: Player1 do his turn, then disconnect.
* etc

Few years ago i play Civilization (4?) with this "round mode".

Do you know some game playable like this ? Thank's !

Many (if not most) of the turn-based war games should work like that, like Civ4 you mentioned. WinSPWW2 (Windows Steel Panthers World War 2) is one such game and it is available for free. Here you go.

For Matrix Games, see this page, click on options under ADVANCED SEARCH (Play style Turn-Based is advised), and look up the information carefully under each game's page (Game SPECS box is the most relevant).

You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.
